General Board Policies:

Rules of Respect:
For any topic on this site, you must be respectful of the opinions of your fellow members. Name-calling or calling someone's opinions stupid or "wrong" will result in a Site-Suspension to the poster responsible. Repeat offenses will result in a Site-Ban.

This also applies to board members you may not like. If you are caught acting uncivilly towards a member who you dislike, and the user is found to be harassing them by posting to their threads in what appears to be an attempt to get under their skin, you will be given a Site-Suspension. Repeat offenses will yield a Site-Ban.

Use of Language:
YoJoe! is a site dedicated to a children's toy line. Therefore, language is cautiously censored. Profanity is not allowed, out of respect to your fellow posters. If you are guilty of a consistent sailor-mouth or attempt to use language at or above a “PG” level, you will be given a warning via a PM and it is the member’s responsibility to change the offending language in their post. If you show a flagrant disregard for this friendly reminder, you will then receive a Site-Suspension.

No sexual material will be allowed on the boards. This obviously includes posting of pornographic material, innuendo or otherwise. Please remember that children and teens frequent the boards.

Direct links to other sites containing offensive material, is strictly prohibited.

Cliques:
While loyalty to this board is welcome, we will not tolerate an "us vs. them" mentality concerning other boards or websites. We will also not tolerate an "established posters vs. newbies" attitude from any member. Such actions will result in a PM reminder and any subsequent expression of this behavior will result in the issuing of a Site-Suspension.

Harassment:
Whether on the board itself, through private messages or through email via the site, if you are harassing a fellow member (threatening physical violence, insinuating that you'll be looking for them or coming to their house, constantly calling them names, libelous language, etc), you will immediately receive a Site-Ban.

Questionable Topic Material:
Discussion on topics deemed traditional flame-bait (such as religion, abortion, politics, new style is better then vintage, etc) are not allowed as they always turn out to be more trouble in the long-run than they are worth. When such a thread is started, it will immediately be closed. If it seems that you only start topics on these items, you will likely be given a Site-Suspension.

Locking Topics and Editing Posts:
If the thread starts to turn into a general flame-war, a mod will post a warning to pull it back on topic. If this does not happen, the thread will be locked.

Topics will also be locked or deleted if they are deemed unacceptable subject matter for the site. In many cases, a thread may be locked for the sole purpose of giving the other members an example of unacceptable posts. In other cases, the thread may be immediately deleted if its existence might be too risqué to leave viewable.

Instigators will receive either a warning (private or public) or a Site-Suspension based upon history and repeat offenses. This is a judgment call to the moderator.

Immediately starting a new thread with the same or similar topic as a locked thread will result in the immediate issuing of a Site-Suspension to the user responsible, as well as any users posting in the thread. If the topic is something worthy of discussion that just happened to get derailed, you could restart the topic a few weeks after the heat has cooled down. Ask one the board admins to check if the topic is okay to restart before doing so, just to save yourself some hassle.

Shouting / Disruptive Posting Style / Signature Size:
Please refrain from "shouting" (posting in all caps). Such actions will result in a PM reminder and any subsequent expression of this behavior will result in the issuing of a Site-Suspension.

In addition to shouting, excessive use of punctuation (such as exclamation marks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) or numerous line spaces, are highly discouraged. If your posting style is deemed disruptive, you will be issued a warning. Repeat offenders will receive a Site-Suspension.

Your signature size cannot be any larger then the size of the quick-reply box on the forum. This is used as a general template for moderators to control signature size, to prevent board disruption. Excessively sized fonts are also prohibited. A first offence will receive a warning via PM and a request to immediately update the signature to a smaller size. Failure to comply will result in a Site-Suspension.

Spoiler Warnings:
Please add some indication in the subject of your new topic if you are including what may be considered spoiler information. Use the "spoiler" code to hide the spoiler information within the post itself. If you are unfamiliar with this code, please include spoiler space in the post in its stead. Numerous repeated offenses will result in issuing a Site-Suspension.

Spamming / Flooding:
Please refrain from things like two-word "I agree", "me too" or "LOL" responses. This also includes starting numerous threads with quick, one-sentence initial posts in one setting.

Our goal is to have interesting discussions and it is very difficult to achieve this with too many small posts. You will be alerted to cut back on such posts via a Private Message (PM) if it seems you are posting very many of these. This especially applies to starting multiple new threads with one line starting posts. If you show a complete disregard for this friendly reminder, you will then receive a Site-Suspension.

This also applies to posting off-topic responses to a topic. Whether it's posting "Pancakes!" in response to a thread on Snake-Eyes, or posting an image of some unrelated thing (e.g.: a picture of a fellow dressed as Optimus Prime in a thread about weapons), it will not be allowed.

Selling / Trading Policy:
The sale of bootleg cartoons/comics or reproduction toy parts is not tolerated.
This means no sale of reproduction mics/weapons/vehicle accessories/figure parts/head sculpts, etc. The sale of bootleg cartoons/comics or reproduction toy parts is illegal and YoJoe will not be a part of it. Original OEM parts are fine to sell, and reproduction stickers/decals/labels are allowed for now as Hasbro is permitting their sale.

You are permitted to "bump" for-sale/trade posts once every 3 days. Doing so before that time period will result in a warning via Private Message. Continual Violation will result in a Site-Suspension.

Bad Sellers/Feedback - Only those members who are directly affected by a sale are permitted to post replies in that forum. Cheerleading posts or "me too" are in violation of the YoJoe Respect policy and will be dealt with in a manner described by said policy.

No Private Correspondence involving other parties will be permitted in forum posts without the approval of a moderator. (Rule is applicable in other threads/topics as well).

Account Usage and Responsibility:
You are responsible for any and all posts from your account on this board. It doesn't matter if the post was actually made by your spouse, significant other, brother, sister, father, mother, friend or and other acquaintance, you will be held responsible for what is posted and will suffer any consequences that their posts might bring.

If one of these acquaintances wants to post, it is highly recommended that you have them get their own account instead of using yours. You are responsible for any and all posts from your account on this board. It doesn't matter if the post was actually made by your spouse, significant other, brother, sister, father, mother, friend or and other acquaintance, you will be held responsible for what is posted and will suffer any consequences that their posts might bring. If one of these acquaintances wants to post, it is highly recommended that you have them get their own account instead of using yours.

Miscellaneous Information:
Please treat these boards as a public place and post accordingly. In other words, do not do something here that you would think twice or thrice about doing in the real world.

Any infractions not covered here are left to the discretion of the individual moderators, but may include any material that is knowingly false and/or defamatory, misleading, inaccurate, invasive of a person's privacy, that otherwise violates any law, or that encourages conduct constituting a criminal offense.

Site-Suspension Policy:
Users who fail to heed warnings or become habitual offenders will receive a Site-Suspension from the YoJoe Message Boards.

• First time offences will yield a 3-day, short-term ban and place the member on a probationary period. During the probationary period, users who commit the same or repeat offences will face immediate moderator / administrator action.

• Repeat offences, or severe (e.g. criminal, habitual, harassment, or sexual offences) will receive a 7-day ban. Those who commit these types of offenses during a probationary period will receive a permanent ban from the site.

• Permanent Ban/Site-Ban - Members who commit repeat or serious offense that are deemed to receive a Site-Ban / Permanent Ban are removed from the site and their accounts are locked. Additional steps will be taken, as necessary, to prevent a banned member from re-joining the site.

• All disciplinary action cannot be appealed. Use of the YoJoe message boards is a privilege and should be treated and respected as such.

Notice of Limited Liability:
While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore, you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable.

Privacy:
As a user, you agree to having your registration information for this site stored in a database. While this information will not be sold or given to any third party the webmaster, administrator and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.

Your e-mail address is used only for confirming your registration details and password (and for sending new passwords should you forget your current one).

You are aware that the all information within the database is available to the admin for review including Ignore Lists, Buddy List, email address, etc.

If you are banned, depending on the cause of said banning, your ISP may be informed of possible abuse of their access agreement.

Post Editing:
