Road to Revolution is Here!!!!

The Road to Revolution is an IDW Hasbro Universe Comic Crossover event.

And it is just getting started!!!!!!

The YOJoe.com comics section has all of it covered. (Literally since there are a lot of covers for these different series).

Revolution takes place in the "IDW Continuity", which is the continuity that was started by IDW in 2009 (not the ARAH comics Larry Hama currently writes). Also for all of the Transformers series, the "IDW Transformers Generation 1" continuity, which began in 2005, is now directly connected to GI Joe through the Revolution crossover.

GI Joe characters will be appearing directly in many of these crossover titles. (And already have in one, so spoilers below.)


A Four page story called "Revolution Take A Stand" which is part of the Revolution Prelude comic (which was released at SDCC) has Scarlett, General Joe Colton and Miles Manheim (of MASK and VENOM but now an original member of the GI Joe Adventure Team) explaining how the Transformers activity on Earth and the Nanzhao GI Joe Cobra Civil War events all tie together with a brief reference to Action Man included.

This 4 page story appears in ROM #1, Action Man #2, The Transformers #55, Transformers Till All Are One #2, Transformers More Than Meets the Eye #55 and Micronauts #4. Plus, one-shot The Transformers Titans Return. And GI Joe #230 + Street Fighter x GI Joe #6.

The title Road to Revolution also appears on the cover Action Man #1 and Transformers Till All Are One #1.

The British Spy has direct connections to GI Joe back in the Adventure Team days through Joe Colton. In issue #1, the GI Joe team and Joe Colton are shown and referenced.

All of the Transformers and the Micronauts series have no direct GI Joe references, YET. But are all very much a part of the Revolution.

IDW has released a free digital download of the Revolution Prelude today.
It continues past the four page preview we saw this month and lets us in on just what is going on with Miles...Manheim who we learn was a former Adventure Team member with Joe Colton. It is going to be an all out battle as Earth fights for freedom against Autobots and more.
