For 2017 they could have made cobra la: golobulous, nemesis enforcer, pythona and 12 royal guards. Vintange royal guards sell for only 6$ and buying new ones from the convention would be about 20$ each.

The set this year is pretty bad. Probably the worst one they have ever done actually. A Cobra-La set would probably go over like a fart in an elevator.
There are "legal reasons" they couldn't do Cobra La. or so they said on Facebook.
The set for 2017 had to be a rush job. From concept to the PS on the reveals.
Same with the fact there are no tours set up. There just wasn't time.
BF2000 has been requested for years right alongside GIJOE the movie and Star Brigade. Those last two are the toughest to pull off without all new tooling for 90 percent of the figures. Hard Top would probably have been easy, and maybe SciFi.

If they wanted for 2018, they could make night force series 3:Storm shadow 2, jinx, fast draw, hard ball, budo and hit n run who has been already done and in those shades of grey.
Sure, there will always be some people that want these sets. But how many are we really talking about? It's kind of getting to the bottom of the barrel with original sub-teams that haven't been done already so it's really why BF2000 is up next. Not because it's good or a lot of people want it, because it's part of what's left. This is where the club continues to make mis-steps. Instead of coming up with an original theme like the Crimson Strike Team or Tanks for the Memories, they keep going back to original sub teams. I guess I can give them a pass because this year they didn't know they were going to keep the license for another year until late. But if they do something like this next year, it just continues to show their disconnect with the fans that support them.
