On the Sub Viper v2 I looked at it and the body construction says the torso was from Snow Job v3 yet it looks more like Barbecue v4 which is also a 2008 figure.

It's the same part - Barbecue just has his canister glued onto it. Snow Job came out before Barbecue, and we default to the original release.
