Is this all we're gonna see from the 30th Ann., or are there more figures to come?

Just by reading the 2011-2012 release schedule on GeneralsJoes, we're not going to see a lot of 30th Anniversary figures like we saw with the 25th Anniversary line. Or so it seems.

For example, what about 30th Anniversary versions of: Hawk? Wild Bill? Duke? Lt. Falcon? Flint? Scarlett? Lady Jaye? Rock 'N Roll? Roadblock? Heavy Duty? I realize there are several more that I haven't mentioned, but you get the picture.

I know that the G.I. Joe Collectors Club is supposed to be releasing figures that won't be available to the general public, which sucks, IMHO. So are some or all of the figures that I mentioned on that list? And in order to get our favorite figures we'll have to join the club?

    Do I understand things correctly?

Even though I liked POC a lot better then these 30th ones, I thought more 30th guys were planned. I saw a vintage style Techno Viper, but I don't know if he was scrapped or not.

I'm really not a fan of exclusive releases that "normal people" can't get their hands on.
Most people can afford $7 or $8 for a normal figure, but when you factor in the shipping, club costs and all that, it makes it unattractive for the average collecter.

The situation with He-Man and the mattycollector website is a good example. You have to be online at a certain time on a certain day to get your figure. They sell out in like 10 minutes, which is crazy! I realize the market for He-Man is not what it used to be, but at least sell them on Amazon or something. Otherwise, if you want one, you have to go on Fee-bay and pay a premium price, which none of that $$ is even going to the company that makes them.

Maybe instead of making 24! different versions of Snake-Eyes (since 2008) and 16 different Storm-Shadows (since 2008) and 20 Cobra Commanders (also since 2008) they would be able to make a few more of the other popular characters.

How many Snake-Eyes do we really need?

there will be a wave 3 and 4 for the 30th line that includes SCI-FI, Lifeline, Zombie Viper and a few others but nobody knows exactly when. If these waves are not in stores for the Christmas push, chances are they will be pushed to Jan/Feb and short lived. You have to believe that Hasbro will be shelfing the Gi Joe 2 Movie figures in early 2012 to account for the movie's June 2012 release. THe unfortunate part about all of this is that some areas have not even seen 30th Ann. wave 1 figures yet. Some areas are flooded with them. Hasbro has shown in recent years that Gi Joe is not their priortiy anymore and that translates to sparse figure counts.

Are the Sci-Fi and Lifeline figs going to be the vintage style? Or some new reboot of the characters?

I remember seeing pics of Hasbro's booth a Toy Fare, and spotted those figs. They were both just like their '86 releases. I personally can't wait to get 'em!

Hopefully they will be able to be found easily, and not have a repeat of Low-Light, high prices and low availability

Hopefully the "promised" 7-packs will be real cool. I was just thinking the other day about this. We've probably got 2 more waves before the new movie toys take over. With six figures a wave this is what I was thinking:

    Wave 3:
Zombie Viper(Halloween release if they're smart)
    Techno Viper
    Lifeline
    Sci-Fi
    Airtight(Renegades)
    Storm Shadow(Renegades)

    Wave 4:
    Kwinn
    Renegades
    Scarlett
    Ripcord
    Tunnel Rat
    Cobra Trooper
    Law & Order

Here are some pics of what they showed and Joe Con and Toy Fair for those that missed it:

That Airtight looks like the vintage version to me, not renegades
