I always pictured Mercer's "escape" from Cobra Island as being a rather bloody affair. Here we see just three of his body-count on that fateful day. A knife-thrust to the rear-most Viper's jugular, and three suppressed head-shots to the back of the Viper's head, cracking the helmet visor and splattering the interior with red. Before the first two hit the ground (and before the third knows what's going on), Mercer wrests the UMP away from the third Viper and throws him to the ground, finishing him off with a suppressed burst through the Viper's vest. Without wasting a moment, he scavenges extra magazines and grenades, wipes the knife on the dead Viper's uniform, and carries on...
