Original 13 Straight arm or Swivel Arm Battle Grip

I figured I'd just put the question out.
The original 13 were made twice the first run with straight arms that just moved at the shoulderand elbow and the second run with the added swivel at the bicep. Im currently collecting just theswivel arm versions myself and I was wondering which my fellow collectors preferred

I have a couple of straight-arms and I treasure them as artifacts, but have no desire for a complete set.

    Swivel all the way!!!

*bonks head on the wall* I accidentally voted for straight-arms instead of swivel. I don't think it's possible to change my vote now but you should factor this into your findings.

I love the original 82 SA's. Just something about the look to them that I love. I have them all!. Although I have all the 83's as well

    Thumbs up

    Yeah,

I think I'm with Curch on this one. I voted for the Straight Arm figures. Although I do like both, I am more fond of the Straight Arm figures. Especially when you get into International figures, like Brazil, where the colors are alot more rich, deeper looking. I think that it really sets off that classic look.

When I started adding to my collection from years ago my hope was to go all swivel arm but a few ended up straight arm

    tough one!! Great poll!!!

Hmmm, I have actually been wrestling with this question myself for sometime now. I still have 6 or 7 SA's from my childhood but I do have some of the 83's I replaced them with later on.

Would have to go with SA's just simply for nostalgia reasons. I went through probably half dozen SA Zaps as a kid and 3 Rocks, Grunts and Snake Eyes.

I do still treasure my SA clutch- I got him when I turned 10 and he still sits at the table with me and will represent (next to my jager shot glass) when I turn 40 this September!!

At first I was only going to do swivel arm Joes. However I won this really good lot on eBay which had pretty much all if not all the straight arm Joes and Cobra (along with file cards). I was going to sell them, but after seeing them in such nice condition I decided to add them to my collection. I am glad I did. They add something having them.

The gem of the set is my straight-arm Silver Pads Grand Slam:

    BTW he is a custom.

I'll say both because, well, I have a complete set of both!
