Hey. I thought I'd post here asking about these pieces, cause I assume somebody on these boards is connected to planetforce somehow.

I was looking at these three auctions:

And recognized the auction pictures as the same as the ones off of planetforce's site:

Does planetforce keep current about which pieces they have in inventory? Or is this seller shady? I realize his feedback is low, and he's new to ebay, but he's had a month's worth of fanboy-ish product sales already and no negatives. I'm a trusting soul, but what do you think about this?

The number of bids they've accumulated 4 days into the auction ought to be indication enough to me that people have judged this 'risky/shady', but I thought I'd give these boards a try.

And if somebody knows for a fact that these auctions are bogus, I thought I'd give you auction vigilantes the chance to complain about it.

Greed is the driving force for any scam artists. Motto: if a deal sounds too good to be true, it is too good to be true.


Most sellers start with common items and work their way up. Any new seller entering the arena with "gems" must be considered fishy. Maybe it is a new account from existing seller and fully liable, but I still consider it fishy. Better safe that sorry.
Photos are same as on planetforce, but manipulated using Photoshop distortion filter. For me, this is fake auction. Maybe it is not true at all (I cannot 100% proove things), but I consider this a scam.
If this was auction for Planetforce, then why distort photos if you have them crisp and clear?

Just ask them what the AFA # is on their stuff. E-mail planetforce and ask them the same thing. Tell them and link them these auctions.

Pictures are identical. It is close to impossible that accessories are in exact the same way in a rather loose fitting blister, take for example Spirit. Accessories are bound to wiggle around when moved. Since accessories on both pictures are in exact the same place, it is the same picture.

Conclusion 1: Planetforce = shadowcat131 This makes no sense, since planetforce has another eBay account. And again, why make pictures blurry when you got them crystal clear?

Conclusion 2: Fake auction, fake pictures -> Scam.

If you check on Planetforce you will see the rating is identical!

It does seem shady but I have dealt with them quite a few times and they are legit. One thing is they do not update there site at all pretty much. I have bought many mocs from them a few months back.As far as the afa in question, I know I have seen a tripwire a few times but maybe the buyer did not pay. All I know is I have spent around $800 from them and everything is like they say it is, In my opinion one of the better sellers out there even though everything points to them being shady.

I am sorry I did not read the post enough. I would say this seller is shady. Even though planet force does not update there site often they do have multilpes of things.I doubt this person is associated with planet force because why start a new name when planet force already has a ton of good feedback.If i was anyone looking at those i would ask for the serial number for the afa cards to verify if this is real and then email planet force

If you look at ShadowCats other auctions everything is sitting on a black chair. Maybe he edited the Pic's. Ask him to take a Pic of the Back of the card with 3 different coins in the pic also.

Hey, you're right. He just took the pictures from the web-site of planetforce. On the last picture of Major Bludd you can even see the red bar as is shown on the planet force web site. Looks like a scam to me.

You are right! That is causing the distortion as well. Now that I have closer look I can see the distortion monitors are causing on photos as well. Thumbs up for you!

FYI: Planetforce has been notified and they have responded with a thanks already.

I just have to say this is so freakin cool! Dude ended his auctions early, likely from the pressure and emails he was getting. Can't he get kicked off ebay for something like that? What a LO-HOO-HOO-ZER!!!

I notified Planet Force with links to auctions and this discussion. They sent me mail back with their gratitude for mentioning. I guess they notified eBay and these auctions were cancelled on the spot. Planet Force is a power seller and therefore has got power!

Trading and making a few bucks every once in a while is OK, but fair trade rules!
