So I won two 1984 Color Vue Pencil by Number kits this morning on eBay.

I had never heard of these kits. Anyone ever come across these? How many kits were there?

What characters are featured on the front of the four you have?

I have a couple of these sets as well. Both of my sets are from 1982 and both are sealed (I was planning on winning the ones you won at the last minute dockingbay97 but my wife had our baby a few weeks early and I was in the hospital when the auctions ended!). One set is an Acrylic Paint By Numbers that has the same scene as the cover of G.I. Joe #1 (Marvel). The other set is a Pencil By Numbers and has the RAM motorcycle firing with Breaker on it. If you want to see pics let me know and I will post them later this week--I've got my hands full with a new baby and a recovering wife!

When you get the sets on the back of each box it will show you the other ones that are available. There are both the Paint by Numbers, Pencil by Numbers and Color Vue by Numbers. I believe there are 2 sets from each in 1984 (approx.), and 2 of the Paint/Pencil by number sets in 1982/83.

They neat items for sure.

--scroll to 1984 and click on the Pencil By Number-Storm Shadow and look at the box back to see some of the other sets for that year (I'll bet a Paint By Number box has the other Paint By Number sets on it as well)
--Repeat this process for 1985 (wow-six sets!) and 1987 (two sets)

By the way, under "Not just action figures" there is a question about the dates for the Conquest X-30 Paint By Number but it was clearly from 1987 after looking at the back of the "Defiant" box. I'm also going to start a separate thread for the 1982 sets. If anyone else has info on these PLEASE contribute!
