So this one phrase has bothered me for as long as I can remember. In the Gamesmaster Flint says "G.I.Joe is dedicated to saving lives, even Cobra Commander's." How the heck did he get to be second in command. I mean I think if there was ever an exception to the rule, that'd be it.

In the cartoon Hawk hadn't arrived til Arise Serpentor Arise. There was only Duke & Flint because they were more likeable. Duke was the leader of G.I.Joe, Flint was second. Then Hawk came onto the scene and Flint was demoted, sort of. The leadership rank went thus: Hawk, Duke, Flint & Beach Head.
