I found some MCCs at TRU for $25 each, and was thinking "maybe I could Cobra this up a bit...." Then it sounded dumb, a COBRA Mobile Command center, it is too ID-able as a Joe vehicle, and would be silly to set up. But i always liked the look of the piece as a giant tank, and had a few ideas-schemes go through my head, and said "ah, why the **** not?" It is drying on my back porch now. I am doing it all in black (similar to the one on joecustoms) with some red highlights, and some big COBRA symbols, with the idea that it look like a giant HISS tank. I thought it could look good escorted by about 10 HISS Tanks, and i could pack the roof with CLAWs or Flight pods.

Ever have one of those custom ideas that sounds silly but you do it anyway?

Well, I don't think it's silly! Salvo's black MMC on Joe customs inspired me to make my own. Only one pic of it for now:

I did this tank not too long ago. I wanted something different on my extra Patriot Grizzly. All the comments on it seem to be good but I get the same question from everybody. They all ask why?

WOW! It's a Sky Patrol Grizzly! That rocks! I might have to pick one up on clearance and do that!

dude, my MCC is gonna look just like that one! I did a primer grey interior and black everywhere else so far, but I plan on doing a lot of the armaments in Red so it matches a column of HISS tanks, including a missile launcher HISS I made. I also have big vinyl Cobras to put on the sides to flesh out the Cobra-ness of it.

I am thinking of doing two more, one in navy blue to try ebaying, and one in an Imp or Hydrofoil shade of red.

Looks sweet man. I just don't have the space for a MCC anymore. Great job though.

I made a LBC of a Jawa Sand Crawler from a MCC. Yep, it was so lazy I just didn't keep the stickers on it.

That MCC is sweet. I had been wanting to do one of those since I saw it over at joecustoms. Now I finally get an extra and what do I have in mind.......yep, Sky Patrol. Shiny vehicles rule.

For the reasons behind my SP Grizzly.

In the joeverse: Sky Patrol needed some ground support. Since the PG had Wild Bill's name on the cockpit it must mean that its setup like the cockpit of a jet or copter, right? So the PG made an easy choice for an addition to the SP. Jet and helicopter pilots are going to be operating this thing because ground pounders just dont make it into SP. So no additional training is required for the pilots to operate the tank.

Real world reasons: I didnt have enough jets and helicopters for my pilots and paratroopers to stand on or sit in. The PG has foot pegs galore. I wanted it to look like it fit in with the air brigade so I figured SP paint scheme instead of adding wings.

The stickers for my Grizzley came from www.gijoepit.com. I printed them off on clear label paper. They dont work too well on dark colors but they do great on silver and white.

That's a cool idea! I haven't seen a MCC marked down that cheap yet, but I suppose if I wasn't lazy and carried it to the front it probally is. I'll get another chance this month. But seriously that MCC rocks!!:D
