As you can see from the pics, I have started painting in earnest and stripped of all the temporary colors. I've removed the grenade and diagonal strap from the chest and added a horizintal one. I've also added the two straps for the knife sheathe for the right thigh, and the straps around the left forearm and the collar line (strip styrene). I still need to add the sculpted Cobra Sigil to the shirt, straps and plates to the boots, the sheathe and resculpt the kneepads, but i think that this gives a better idea of how it's going to look. Oh, and before you say it, yes, I going to '86 the goatee.

Here is a pic of the painted face, and some of the details have gotten their first coat. I just discovered a new way to paint gold with acrylics, and get a nice, bright finish. Be sure and let me know what you think.

BTW, yes, I do take on commisions (they usually run about $45 as I charge by the hour) but I am kinda' backlogged right now. If you have something you want done, just drop me an email and I'll see what I can work out.

The flash washed this one out a bit:

This one has a nice show of the real colors:

This just can't be possible. Tell us the truth! You are actually a Hasbro employee who makes prototypes. You have a million dollars worth of equipment and you've been doing this for 57 years. Right?!?

this is amazing! But it still doesnt answer my question: what did you use to make the hair?

No, I'm not a Hasbro employee (yet), but I am bucking to get a design consultant job (I hope!). I'd almost do it for free. My "Sneaky B******s" team won third at the Joe 'Con (Frankenjoe Contest) this year, and had I been there I might have been to parlay that into something, as a couple of the designers wanted to take my binder of pics of my work. But since I had to send my entry by proxy, I didn't want to make any deals that weren't face-to-face.

Here are photo's of 4 of the 6 I sent:

The hair was sculpt using Milliput Superfine 2 part Epoxy. You can pick it up at any advanced hobby supply store. I use several different items to sculpt with, but the one that I used the most in this case, was an assortment of toothpicks that have been glazed in superglue, then sanded to the right diameter.
