can anyone give me a few hints on customizong vehicles.

I want to repaint a Humvee for my Cobra troops. I'm thinking red or blue.

Should I put a primer coat on first? If so what do you recommend to use? And is light sanding necessary?

Man if you were in America i'd recommend Krylon Fussion. Specially formulated for plastic. They have a maroon that looks great. You may need to prime your hummer first or not it's really just personal preference. Whatever you do wash it first to get off the dust and oils. i don't believe sanding to be neccessary either, though yo may want to use a sealent to protect the paint.
