It's that time again, what comics are you reading or looking forward to? (Yes, I'm bored at work today and can't work on the site from here)

Here's my pull list...

DC
Flash
Superman (until the end of Jim Lee's run)

Marvel
Supreme Power (and Doctor Spectrum spinoff)
Marvel Team-Up in December (Kirkman writing, Kolins drawing)

Image
Invincible
Savage Dragon (and spinoff series)
Noble Causes
assorted other titles, mostly oneshots (Wildguard, Shadowhawk, Firebirds, G-Man)

DD
All Joe titles (and the numerous alternate covers)
Hack/Slash

Dreamwave
Transformers vs G.I.Joe

IDW
Metal Gear Solid (ordered the first issue to check it out)

Tempted to pick up Identity Crisis (DC) when it's all over, just so I can read it in one sitting, since it seems to be tying into the Flash pretty tightly.

Totally dropped my X-Universe and Ultimate Universe titles earlier this year, but will check out Astonishing X-Men in trade format. Also tending to stay away from the main Marvel Universe, but the Team Up book looks like it could be fun.

I've been scaling back a ton due to funding and interest... This is what hasn't hit the chopping block yet...

Marvel:

Ult. X-Men
Ult. Spiderman
Ult. FF
Ult. Nightmare (mini series)
Amazing Spider Man (might drop now that JR Jr. is off it)

DC:

Batman (have now dropped, until "War Games" mega arch is over)
Fables
Y-The Last Man (borrow it and read it from my GF, I don't buy it)

DD:
GI Joe Reloaded
GI Joe
GI Joe/Transformers II (mini series)

Image:
Walking Dead (borrow the TPB from my boss at work and it was pretty good)

My comic reading:

DD:

Everything GI Joe (Best cover, can't afford them all.)
Hack/Slash (Love it!)

And that's it. I used to read all the X-Universe titles but I got fed up with having to buy every issue of every series just to know what was going on. Plus, they kept wiping out characters I liked.

Been thinking about getting the Teen Titans Go! series since I like the cartoon and if someone would publish a decent Predator or Alien series, I'd be all over them. All the Predator and Alien Vs Whoever stuff kind of drove me away though.

Mostly read novels now, stuff by Turtledove, Koontz, and King.

Marvel:
All Ultimate lines
Amazing Spider-Man

DD:
G.I.Joe! DUH!

I'm not reading any Joe titles at all right now. Trust me, I tried. Just can't get into 'em. My wife however, is all into Reloaded for some bizarre reason.

Otherwise. . .

- I'm backtracking the 1996 Batman run. Love the art. Kelly Jones is off-the-hook fantastic!
- Following the current Avengers debacle. Just when you think things couldn't suck worse, they kill Hawkeye. . .
- The Batman comic based on the current WB series.
- JLU comic based on the current WB series (I know, real deep reading).
- Superman (and right in step with Bohn. . .until Jim Lee quits) :)

PM me if you have any recommendations. Always willing to try a new one.

What do I read? Well, my interest in comics skyrocketed last summer, so I got into a lot of new stuff!

I follow everything GI JOE. That's a no brainer.

I love the Ultimate Marvel universe. I read pretty much everything, so here's how I read it. All of these are Ultimate:
Fantastic Four: monthly
X-Men: paperback
The Ultimates: paperback
Ultimate Marvel Team-Up: the big freakin' hardcover
Spider-Man: hardcover
Ultimate Adventures: I'm going through this in monthly backissues. I'm up to 2 of 6.
Daredevil & Elektra: I haven't gotten the paperback yet, but I will.
Elektra: If I like the Daredevil & Elektra paperback, I'll get this paperback when it's released.

The other Ultimate crossovers: I'll get those when they're released as part of the collected editions. Like Ultimate War was released in a Ultimate X-Men paperback and Ultimate Six was in the Ultimate Spider-Man paperback series and will be in the upcoming hardcover Vol. 5.

I like manga, too. I read almost exclusively the stuff by CLAMP. They're an all-female manga team, and I like their books a lot. Here's my CLAMP stuff:
Chobits: I'm reading backissues, up to 5 of 8. All 8 have been released.
Legend of Chun-Hyang: one-off book
Magic Knight Rayearth: I've got both the MKR1 and MKR2 box sets. 6 books plus two bonus minibooks only available with the box sets. I've also got the second art book. I haven't gotten the first one yet.
Miyuki-Chan in Wonderland: one-off book
The One I Love: one-off book, not yet released, will be in a week or two
Shirahime-Syo Snow Goddess Tales: one-off book
Suki: I've got all three of three.
Tsubasa: I've got the first two books. The third one is coming out later this month, and I think the entire series is six books long.
xxxHolic: I've got the first two books. The third one is coming out in a week or two, and I think the entire series is four books long.

The only manga I've read that's not by CLAMP is X-Day. It's by Setona Mizushiro, another female manga creator. It's only two books long, and I've got both.

I also read the occasional one-off book and miniseries:
Sgt. Rock - Between Heck and a Hard Place: one-off book (No, the title didn't originally say heck.)
Star Wars Starfighter: three issue miniseries based on the video game
The Originals: one-off book (not released yet, but I will get it)

I don't follow the original Marvel universe at all, and I don't get any DC comics at all. I'm a fan of DC cartoons, though.

Hmm..

Iron Man
Thor
Captain America
Captain America and the Falcon
The Pulse
Daredevil
Black Widow
the Hulk (when peter david comes back)
the Punisher
She Hulk
Supreme Power
and I'm sure there is more Marvel, but I can't remember off the top of my head

DC
Birds of Prey
Nightwing
Batgirl
Catwoman
The current Batman series, but I will probably drop it
The Outsiders
Teen Titans
Identity Crisis
Richard Dragon
Dark Angel
GCPD

DC/Vertigo

The Losers (the best comic book out there)
Y the last man
Human Target

DC/Wildstorm

Planetary
the Authority

Other:

Queen and Country

There are probably more comics I collect, these are the only ones I can remember off the top of my head. I've been collecting comics almost as long as joes (going back to 1981 or 82).

I also have a pretty extensive silver age Marvel comic collection.

In no specific order of interest.

I’m all about the bats:

Batman

Birds of Prey

Detective Comics

Batgirl

Nightwing

Catwoman

(and any others that fit in with the War games crossovers)

Identity Crisis

Teen Titans GO! (yeah I know it’s for kids but I dig the cartoon so I buy it)

Uncanny X-Men (been reading for 20 years or so!!)

Astonishing X-Men

The regular Joe series (no reloaded for me BLAH!! - bring back frontline!:))

The occasional “adult comic”...

that’s my regular reader list... although I pick up a lot of miscellaneous books each month...too many to list :D
