For the archives--this post is going to feature two different lines of bootleg figures obviously made by the same company. The only difference in the two series is minor packaging differences. These bootlegs are based on the 2000-01 series of ARAH figures and none of these figures have bendable arms or legs.

First, here is a comparison of the two different series:

Now here are the Extreme Troop figures I have (3 of the 10 figures):

Now here are all 10 of the X-Troop figures:

Finally, here are pics of one of the two X-Troop sets. The pictured set includes a motorcycle and bootlegs of Cobra Commander, Firefly, Law & Order, General Tomahawk, and Storm Shadow. What is interesting about this set is that the Storm Shadow (aka Ninja) is green instead of the white color of the single-carded version. Also, according to the picture on the back of the set this set should have included the Dusty bootleg but instead came with the Cobra Commander bootleg. The set that is not pictured includes a motorcycle, and bootlegs of the other five figures.

That's it for now. Let me know what you think!

Those are some fun bootlegs. :)

I grabbed both of the X-Troop bootleg sets while they were around. I saw two different versions of each set. In each version, some figures are green and some were black. But if you bought all 4 boxes (both versions of both sets), I think you could get every figure in green as well as in black.

The single-carded Extreme Troops are very interesting to me because they are quite close to the Funskool Pepsodent premium figures I have. Anyone have any ideas as to how that is the case?

I picked a near complete set of the single carded figures but i have to see those boxed sets....interesting stuff.

I would imagine that the single figs were either made directly off the orignal Pepsodent molds or were molded and bootlegged from the figures themselves...these are really the only two ways actual bootlegs are made. I'm sure there wasn't too much worry over the Funskool/Pepsodent molds in India (mostly because they're obviously different from the original Hasbro molds so i can't see them being too strict with them, if they knew about them at all) so my guess is that the molds found their way in the hands of some bootleggers and it all went from there. Just my theory tho....

No--neither the arms nor the legs are bendable.

Are any of these still available? I would really like some of them for customs and army builders.

I think some are available on ebay right now--just do searches for X-Troop and Extreme Troop.

More pics for the archives--in my first post I had only three of the Extreme Troop carded figures but I have since acquired a complete set. In hopes Jeff Bohn (or any of the others) will add these to the archives I will post pics of the other seven figures so the complete set can be shown. Here they are:
