I'm fairly new to action force. and just the other day I found out that over in the UK they had a different origins for Cobra Cmdr & destro.

Over there Cobra cmdr was once baron Ironblood and destro was red jackal.
The story of how red jackal becomes destro is kinda silly. but still I thought this was pretty cool. check this out.

But I like how they tie cobra cmdr & baron ironblood together.

That baron is one mean dude.

That laser exterminator would make an excellent crimson guard gun.

In my opinion, the Action Force origin of the Baroness would cross-over nicely into US continuity. Very well done, well written, and makes her into a very frightning villain!

-PJHi,

Just joined the forum and the reason that www.bloodforthebaron.com (http://www.bloodforthebaron.com/) is down is due server issues, but it will hopefully be back up for Xmas.

*Fingers crossed*

I always preferred the baron ironblood stories (Although cobra and its characters/vehicles were far superior and the transition into a cobra very suspect)

The original UK ones were gritty with only a handful of characters with good as well as bad guys dying all over the place

When they americanised them I was hoping they wouldnt ruin it by making it corny
yup they did

I think in the GI Joe comics ive seen only 1 peson has died and even the baddies give up without a fight...

why ruin it with Politically correct nonsense

In any case i still love the Joe comics..i get em ordered in from the states lol

I liked the story when cobra destroyed all the Action Force Hawk helicopters, stole the plans, and created a faster, up armoured version called the FANG.

However, cool as they were the FANGs in the action force stories were destroyed as easily as the GI Joe ones. They really were cannon fodder in both comics and cartoons.
