I don't remember if Sgt. Slaughter was in the original Marvel comic book. Does anyone remember if he was, and if so how many issues did he appear?

Sarge is a character that I'd love to see come back--as a toy and in the Image comic.

The Sarge was introduced in Issue #48, and then seen again in issues #51-53. He also seen in Frontline #17, but the name SGT Slaughter was not used for obvious reasons.

Yeah, I believe his only other "appearances" were in the "Arise, Serpentor, Arise" T.V. mini-series and the "G.I. Joe Movie" (with a brief appearance in the episode "Into Your Tent I Will Silently Creep").
