yep, i would say that is some serious shill bidding, i guess he didnt know you can do a bidder search. keeping your feedback private doesn't hide it. what a loser.

Too funny, my girlfriend had the exact same thing happen. This guy put up something again, she looked up the winner and he only bid on stuff from this seller. Both had hidden feedback. He got kicked off immediately when she contacted ebay!

Look at the "shill" bidders top price and the winning price. A lot of times it was 2-3x more than what the "shill" bidder placed. I know I have bid on the same seller (combined shipping, great sellers before ect.) I doubt it is a shill bidder though. Now if he had a ton of bid retractions and then rebidding to the highest price would be different.

It's probably to ensure a min price since he starts his prices at $.99 and doesn't get stuck with a very low bid. He's probably also trying to save a few cents in the listing fees by starting less than 9.99. He's also starting it very low to try to generate a bidding war
