Full runs would probably be EBAY. I decided I would not be able to get a complete set of them, so I have tried to piece together one. And to my amazement, I have amassed 70% of them at about 1.00 a piece. Thanks to the members on here! I even purchased other comics I didn't think I wanted, but after reading them I am hooked! Good luck!

It's tough to hunt and peck for some of them. I got great deals in lots on eBay and elsewhere, but was left with many extras. But still, for the full Marvel run (1-155, Special Missions, Yearbook, Order of Battle) I've probably paid the same amount as the original cover prices

As I said, I have some for sale if you're interested. I'll give a bulk discount

Watch out! For the 2 nd prints, 1 through 38 on Ebay. I got my set when I collect them in the late 80's, and early 90's. Plus, I bought alot from Mile High Comics, in Denver, Colorado, and Lone Star Comics, in Dallas, Texas before, Image started the series again. Plus, 149 through 155 probaly hard to find? Let us know, how it goes.

I picked up 29 issues last week from Mile High Comic for $18 and that included hipping and insurance. The conditions of the books vary but they all looked pretty good to me.

I sold my entire run back a few years ago when money was tight.

I had at least two of each issue of 1-155, all the yearbooks, all the Special Missions, Transformers, Digests, Special #1 Tales of and the mini ones sold with the figures. I had them all.

Got $500 for the set. :(

I regret it... but rent was more important.

Then one day I was helping a guy move... in the basement was a huge pile of boxes. He said the previous owner left them there...

I rummage through the boxes to discover 1000's of comics... and low and behold i find a ton of GI Joe... I beg him for the comics and he agrees, the previous owner hadn't returned for them in several years, so I guess he didn't want them.

Now I'm only about 50 issues down from having the set built up again. 140-155 are going to be hard to get again, oh well.

Not hard, just EXPENSIVE. Although, about a month ago, I happened into a nice stash of undistributed store overstock and managed to pick up about 225 issues including the following:

#140 x2
141 x3
142 x2
144 x4
145 x1
146 x5
147 x5
148 x2
149 x3
152 x4
153 x4
154 x5
155 x5
Special #1 x9 (yep, the hard one, 9 frickin' copies!!!)

All for around $1.30 each!!! Hopefully, you will have as much luck as I have in locating them cheap enough.
