For those of you attending the Con, would you want to wear an additional badge with your member name on it? That way you could recognize your fellow board members easier.

I know it is a little early but we could have a design contest. People could design a badge and we the members could choose the one we want.

Then once we have a winning badge, we would all be responsible to take the winning jpg file to a place like Kinko's to get printed and laminated.

Does this sound good to the rest of you?

It needs to be submitted by May 14.
I will start a voting thread on May 15.
Voting will start the May 15th and end the 31st.
The winner will be choosen by a poll in the voting thread.
Most votes wins.
Only one winner.
Then you have the month of June to have your badge made.

Though I'm not attending the convention, the thought of cool Yojoe badges really peaks my interest. I'd love to see and vote on the entries.

There are an aweful lot of us and we generally don't know who is who in real life.

For example I could run into you on the street and never know.

If we have these badges at the show, I think it would help this place feel more like a community.

I also like the idea of the badges being designed by one of our own.

Great idea, Dock! Todd from magnum6delta is now a member of our site and I know he is VERY good at this sort of thing so I will forward this thread to him and get him on it.

very good idea...i may actually try my hand at a design....

it would be nice if they were the same size as the con badges... would make them easy to wear. also, we could look into having them printed up and laminated at kinkos and distributed before the con...we would have to get a jump on it though. the con is only about 2 months away!

doh! i wish i had read this thread earlier, i don't think i have enough time to get even a quick one done in time. good idea though. this same sort of thing should be done maybe for a t-shirt or an iron design or something of that nature.
