Thats awesome - from a personal point of view. You see, I was in Sweden like two years ago, and will probably go back in about a year and a half. Anyways, when I was in Stockholm, I searched high and low for joes. I was repeatedly told there were never any joes made in or for Sweden. I knew that was B.S. cause the Yojoe archives even have samples. Anyways it nice to know I wasn't wrong when I kept insisting there was Swedish packaging.

Now. How to go about finding some....

I was also shown a Tiger Force Outback filecard by JeffreyKabal recently so Swedish packaging is most definately available. But in what quantities and if the majority was shipped to Sweden or Finland must be the questions. It definately don't show up very often.

Now show me some Danish language toy packaging and I'll be really impressed! :)

The above three are listed as being in Danish, Swedish and Finnish but are actually in Swedish, Finnish and Norwegian.

Thanks for pointing out the mistakes. I fixed those pages.

Those loose stickers in your collection look like the U.K. stickers that go in the little sticker album. I think the size is about 5 x 8 1/2". I would love to find a complete set of those...

wow, G.I. Joe figures on a Finnish language card. o.O

i never knew there was such a thing. seeing Cobra Officer (or Cobra Upseeri :D) on Finnish card is especially strange, since i don't think figures from the first couple of years were ever even sold in Finland.

anyway, those are cool as heck.

hmm I believe I allready mentioned that 2 u some time ago...lazy guy :)

Anyway, I'm not sure about the Danish Joe-things. Especially the Finnish.
I have some Swedish comics which also show the prize in Finnish currency, but from what I know is that those 2 languages are complete different. Finnish is more like Russian and Swedish , more like Norwegian and Danish.
Although if those 3 languages are indeed Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish I might say that the Danish cards appear on the German cardbacks.

But yojoe says this is Swedish http://www.yojoe.com/international/other/windmillfc.shtml

which I don't understand because Denmark is closer to Germany then Sweden.
Can someone verify that it is Swedish? I can only understand some words, but because it looks all a bit the same 2 me, It could also just be Danish hehe
I have to recheck my filecards again for those languages, it's all a bit confusing right now and I can believe that the Americans who read this are even more confused with all those languages hehe :)

Anyway I did bought this one yesterday: Was pretty amazed that it exists.

Especially because in the Netherlands it wasn't released (well not on a Dutch card but as import).

The Danish, Norwegian and Swedish languages are pretty similar. Finnish is definately much different. Still it's my impression that there's quite a few finns in Sweden and vice versa so the Sweden/Finland combo makes sense in that ...uhm... sense. Still until someone actually shows me a Danish filecard (please) I'll maintain that the figures sold here were in UK packaging only.

It says German and Norwegian and that's definately what it looks like to me.

Cool! Was not aware that figures that late in the line were available in Action Force packaging... and even in that Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish language combo again. A rather unique item I would say! :)

Thanks for the info! Any chance you have a link to that sticker album? Tried looking in the International archive but couldn't find it.

Cant help you with a full set of the stickers but can trade you a few, lmk

Oh well, turns out I allready had all the information about those little stickes. Just needed to look on the back of one of my filecards :)

Seeing that the offer was only available to the UK and Ireland would also explain why I didn't have the album.

Earlier I mentioned that I had never seen Danish language Joe packaging. I received a filecards lot yesterday and my wish was granted! Three of the filecards are a Swedish/Norwegian/Danish/Finnish combo. They're not filecards in the traditional sense though, no character bio, instead some safety info and Hasbro contact information. On the other side of them the accessory instructions are still in English so I assume only the filecard text was changed on these cards.

The top safety bit translates to "Only use the original missile. Never aim at face"

You can check them out here:

At first I have to say I love the thread :)

As I have posted before in another thread I found some nice
"scandinavian" figures. Here are some pics on the backs aswell.

I really cant tell if the third language is in norwegian or danish,
maybe a combination?Monkeywrench & Astro-Viper backs (http://www.echobase.nu/bilder/ActionForce_back.jpg)

I was very glad when I discovered that the figs were Imported by
PlayMix. PlayMix also imported Star Wars in Sweden back in the days,
Unfortunately they didnt do this cool "unique" packaging. They does'nt exist
anymore but I have recently found an old man who worked at Playmix.
So now I'll have to talk with him about Action Force aswell
Hopefully He will tell some nice stories and let me know if he has some
nice store displays or proof cards in his closet :D

Thanks for sharing the pictures, very cool! I'm positive the third language is Norwegian.

Please be sure to share any interesting info your PlayMix contact has! :)
