Hi everyone,
My name is Mattias and usually collect Star Wars vintage toys.
This week I stumbled over some Action Force toys here in Sweden,
I had to buy some MOC's because they were in awesome condition.
I also saw several vehicles/ships mint in sealed boxes from the same
line. Probably there are more MOCs behind the counter.

I bought these two figures:
Monkeywrench & Astro Viper (http://www.echobase.nu/bilder/ActionForce.jpg)

Im interested if they are rare (maybe price) and if many collect this "scandinavian line"?

Maybe I have to start collect Action Force aswell

cheers

Welcome to the boards Mattias! Nice to see another friendly face from the Star Wars collecting world here!

I'm not too versed on the Swedish figures, suffice to say i think they're VERY interesting, and i wouldn't be surprised if you found some answers to your questions here.

Thanks for the welcome guys and nice to see a familiar face Shane.

I have to see if there's more stuff behind the "counter", you can't collect
everything but when you bump into some nice childhood toys its hard to
just let it be :D

Are any special figures/vehicles that I shall look for?
What's the GI Joe "holy grail"? (especially among european versions?)

cheers
Mattias

PS. And yes, Erickson is a very common name here. Maybe you're related
to the very famous phone maker?

Very cool finds! :D

Any chance you know if this tri-language packaging was the normal way for figures to be released in Sweden?

Dont think there's one particular holy grail to look for... maybe a Storm Shadow v1? Generally the older the figures the better. You would probably want to keep a special eye out for the European Exclusive figures. You can check them out here under the two UK/EUROPE headers: http://www.yojoe.com/action/int/

Now I have managed to get some more figs and my "collection" is getting bigger :)

The figures that are Đ1988 are all in three languages on the back.
Swedish, finish and norwegian. I found one more Monkeywrench (not as minty as the first, but still very nice)
ActionForce 1988: Monkeywrench, Astro-Viper, Techno-Viper, Cobra Commander, Psyche-Out, Blizzard. (http://www.echobase.nu/bilder/AF_1988_SE-FI-NO.jpg)

The figs from 1986 are only in swedish which I (ofcourse) think is awesome
ActionForce 1986: Tele-Vipers, Buzzer. (http://www.echobase.nu/bilder/AF_1986_SE.jpg)

And here's two figs from 1982 and 1983, unfortunately they're in bad shape.
ActionForce 1982-83: Scarlett, Tripwire. (http://www.echobase.nu/bilder/AF_Scarlett-Tripwire.jpg)
The sticker on Scarletts front is in swedish and finish.
But the back sticker is only in swedish
Scarlett's back (http://www.echobase.nu/bilder/AF_Scarlett_back.jpg)

Please let me know if there are any specials among my figs,
I'm still very new and learning every day :D

cheers

Wow! I never knew that this series of Action Force figures was released in packaging with the Swedish & Finnish language stickers on it! Almost two years ago, Airedevon gave me a terrific tutorial on the Action Force line, and the versions mentioned were the English/Italian and French/Spanish versions.

It's great to see this Swedish/Finnish stickered version!

It's exciting to me, because Destro was released in this series. So, it's another version for me to add to my search list! :)

Thanks for sharing, chiefmattias. And if you ever happen to find a carded Destro & you'd like to sell, I'd definitely be interested in purchasing it!

Unfortunately I have bought everything that was available.
There's only left a MISB Conquest X-30 for quite much money.

I have begun to understand how big the ActionForce world is :o
As a Star Wars collector aswell I dont know if I have got the time
and the money to be a serious collector

He he. I'll probably stick to some cool swedish stuff.

I would like to get more figs with the swedish/finish/norwegian text block
on the fronts and start to look if there are any swedish exclusives out there.

Mattias, I posted on another thread regarding your AF Scarlett. I don't remember ever seeing her packaged with binoculars. Because that's not on the YoJoe archives yet.

And speaking of archives, we only have THREE Swedish Joe items listed. Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated. It doesn't matter if you sell them or not, just please do it for posterity. Thanks!

I would be very happy to add my stuff to the archive.
Please tell me who to send it to and I will
take some new nicer pics before I sell them.

As luck would have it, I was recently able to add a carded Swedish/Finnish Palitoy Action Force Destro V1 to my collection. It was on Ebay and the seller had a bunch of other Palitoy Action Force carded figs. I was actually very suprised that these Action Force auctions didn't get more "attention" from Gijoe foreign/international collectors!

One thing I need to correct about my previous posts in this thread! The Swedish/Finnish text in the with areas on the front is NOT a sticker! (In the picture of the Scarlett supplied, it looked to me that this was a sticker). Because of this, I assumed that the figures were probably manufacted UK or other Action Force figs, modified for the Swedish/Finnish market by simply using this sticker. I was wrong, as this is printed directly on the cardfront and also the language on the back of the card is Swedish (along with English).

Here is a link to the seller's auctions of the Action Force figs:

Mattias, I really need to know when you are intending to ship this figure lot out to me. I am starting to get really concerned. The payment was several hundred US dollars, not a small amount of money for me. Please email me a copy of the shipping receipt immediately so that I have peace of mind that the figures are indeed on their way.

I'm not sure why there's a delay but Mattias is a very reputable collector and i can assure you that the figures you got from him will arrive. :)
