OK, so my GF bought a house while I was away at the Star Wars con (don't ask) and although I move heavy objects and families as a side gig, I still HATE moving myself (done it way too many times in my life). I have been busting my hump over the last month to paint, renovate, pack, move, sweat, die, etc, in this new house.

Many people have seen pics of my collection, it it kind of large, and I have it in one room. The packing was pretty much finished today, there are a few straggling items but I am considering it done until the shelves are moved out. Here is the contest: Guess how many people and days it took to PACK UP my collection room. For example, "I think it took 3 people 2 days to pack up your visible collection". I will end the contest...monday night, hoping that i have internet back by then. Anyone wanting to check, it is still on Shane's website, tattoosandtoys.com.

The first correct answer between now and monday night will get something, not sure what yet, probably some vinyl cobra decals and a Sure Fire figure. If there is multiple correct answers, then the first guy gets the decals, and everyone else gets Sure Fires. One guess per person.

I would say it took 2 people and 3 days to pack up those items.

Great idea for a game.

I am gonna say it took 3 people a week to pack it up. Could of been done in probablly 3 days, but convincing your girlfriend to allow you to bring it along added another 2 days of groveling to the packing.

4 people (total) in as many days.

Great contest man!

I would guess you wouldn't want anyone else to accidentally break something, so I will go with 1 person and 8 days.

1 person and it took 7 days.

Can't imagine letting anyone "help" me box up my entire collection. Shudder.

3 people in 4 days. (However, if you told me where you live, I could move them "quicker"!) :p

I hate moving too. I moved about 8 times in college, and I have since vowed that if I move again, I will gladly pay for others to move for me!

1 person in less than 24 hours

I'm basing it on what I believe my girlfriend would say to me. "You're going to move all of this by yourself because only you decided to collect so many. And, I want them moved out today! All of them because you still need to help me with the packing and moving of my stuff and everything else around here. Why did you spend so much money on this stuff!! If you would put half the effort that you do with collecting these toys, we wouldn't have......"

I'm sorry. I'm okay now. I'm back in my Happy Place like my therapist recommended. :D

well since if i was you i would trust no one to move my stuff so i would say 1 person and since if i was you i would have experiance in moving and say 1 day,so my answer is 1 person 1 day.

So lets see....
Here's my assumption:

You:
-Have a huge collection
-Have to move immediately
-Only one in residence that's a Joe fan (assuming)
-Pack your personal belongings, and furniture
-etc, yadda yadda yadda.

I'd say 2 weeks, more or less, maybe 3.
Assuming your using your weekends to pack & move your stuff.

I'll say 1 person (you) and maybe your closest friend total (2), 6 days to pack them up. I just moved from CO to SC and it took 2 people 3 days and my collection is smaller.

Hope it all gets there safe:)

Well, this was a little tricky of me, but the answer was actually in the question. It took 3 people 2 days, which was the numbers i used in my example. Hide the answer in plain site, i thought someone would have hit it. Tiger got those numbers transposed, and dave Seguin and someone else said 3 people and 4 days, but no one hit it dead on.

I had two guys helping, Joe Capaci, who is an AVID army builder who lives by me, and knows how to handle large numbers of troops (ba-DUMP-bump). He took care of most of the vehicles and the army builders. For the boxed and rare stuff, my buddy James Gallo packed all that up. He has been selling rare stuff, AFA stuff, high end items, for years, and knows how to do it well. I worked mostly on packing up customs, prototypes, and loading it all in the truck, but we did get it all done in 2 days. It ended up filling 5 pallets in the basement of the new house, until i can build the new collection room.

LMAO, I was gonna try that answer, but I thought "No way he would hide the answer in plain sight!" LMAO :D

thing of it i was thinking of saying that but i had no clue how big your collection is and me i was going by my experiance of haveing to move a few times in the past couple of years and i had a large Lego display i used to take to shows, and my displays are usually big too.

I was thinking that the answer was in the question and i had it that way at first but changed it thinking that you reversed it and would want as little people as possible helping you. I was close. I should have went with my first instincts.
