He looks like Johnny Depp in the Willy Wonka movie. That's probably not going to work in the military.

His new filecard says that constant laughing about his physical appearance forced him to spend a lot of time underground.

Sigma Six is going to tank.

What a train wreck.

I'm more perturbed by "Scarlet," but I hope it's just a typo, given that her name is spelled correctly in her bio. I suppose it beats "SkArLiTt!!1"

At any rate, I am looking forward to this show and the probably hilarious fan backlash in equal measure. Has anyone photoshopped the new figure packages to say "Peg Warming Action!" yet?

ahahhah doesn't it look like they forgot to finish drawing heavy duty's pants......maybe they forgot because they had to take care of some heavy duty.....or maybe he needed knew pants because there was a heavy duty in them

okay here's a new thought...they only show bios for 5 characters.....suppose the team of 6 is made up by these 5 characters and a "specialist" that is different for every mission.....like when stars would guest star on scooby doo.....so you have kamakuro as the 6th when they have a ninja mission, spirit when they need to find.....stuff.......longarm when they need to......um......drive......trucks ect.

I really love that design... Not as Tunnel Rat since the original is so iconic... but that is a cool character design. Looks like a cool Harukujo (whatever that district of Tokyo is called) tuner kid.
I'd love for them to make a 3 3/4 version.

As for the others... they look kind of simple. I think Scarlet needs to be in a green jumpsuit instead of black.

Yes, I can't wait for the episode of Sigma Six where Don Knotts or Curly from the Harlem Globetrotters assists Snake Eyes to destroy some Cobra airbase.

Well, you just know that Old Man Withers - the guy who runs the haunted amusement park - is gonna be behind it all...

The problem I have with Sigma Six, is that the character designs are just plain generic anime style. Till now, I still think Gonzo Studios are better for their 3D mecha work than any of their cel character stuff. Hasbro should have hired a dedicated character designer.

I think everything looks ok so far. I'll wait to check out the show before I make my final judgement.

I think it is a sad, sad thing that Hasbro has to justify this crappy toyline by desecrating the classic 3 3/4" characters that we grew up with. If you want to change things up to improve business, do it, make up something new and slap GI Joe on it. At least Sgt Savage (which I actually liked) and Extreme didn't try to cop off the old characters.

craptastic... absolutely craptastic... i don't even have the words to describe it...

didn't think it was possible to hate anime any more than i already did, but now after seeing the train wreck that is joe in anime-style, i found a way to hate it more..............

I'm not an anime fan at all, but since this is GI Joe, I'll also reserve judgement until I've seen an episode or two. Hopefully they can change my mind - I'd much rather have more Joe to like than gripe about.

Keeping my fingers crossed ;)

I agree. This Sigma Six stuff seems really misguided. Personally I don't see any way that this is going to be a success for Hasbro. They are alienating collectors with the new look for the characters, pandering to kids by forcing the anime crap, and all the while they don't appear to have an overall strategy for selling the toys. Even if the cartoon is a hit, the "collect them all" philosophy won't work with this line of toys because the price is too high on the figures. How can a kid build a team of GI Joes when the figures cost $15 each? At most they are only going to able to afford to buy one or two figures and then they will be done. Hasbro should have kept with the 3" scale and kept the price lower.

This series is best left for the kids. Let Hasbro throw it out there and see if they like the show and toys.

I had serious issues when I saw the initial design which didn't include hair color. When I first saw him, his hair was just. . .white. Now it's brown so I'm breathing a little easier (a little ;) ).

I'm coping with this transition rather well through therapy and medication.:D
My Joe-shrink sez, "Jusssst theenk of it az Joe-Reloaded anime style." And I do.

Can't wait.

... unbelievable. Totally. Totally Spies. Totally Sigma. (Now I get it! Beachhead's latest accent now has a home...)
Evidently, 'Major Hazard' - sorry, 'Duke' - and 'Heavy Duty' are the only adults on this team. Everyone else looks like they're about fourteen, in build or in countenance (since the kid in black has a hood, we'll judge his age by his frame. Wonder who he's supposed to be? Looks like Snake-Eyes, but stupid...).
Has anyone else noticed that their 'bios' (and here I'm being generous) are so vague and tepid that one could postulate that they belong not to an antiterrorism unit, but to some offshoot of the Boy's and Girl's After School Club? "Tunnel Rat's RADICAL Bootie Board has AWESOME stuff to get the job done, and helped him to 'surprise' the Cobra dudes, who were grounded without dessert for letting that TUBULAR Tunnel Rat get past 'em!"

Feh.

I can't WAIT to find these guys in the store. Now I'll have stuff to stack up, for getting to overhead shelving.

Y'know, if they had just done this with guys who weren't already existing characters.

And Duke being the leader of anything sickens me. Hawk all the way.

oh come on... sigma six will fit in just fine with the Winx Club and Mew Mew Power!

Yes someone has lost their minds. Scarlett and Tunnel Rat look like 8 year olds. And now Scarlett is a helicopter pilot and Duke is an undercover agent. Gag me.

I've got it. They're the Burger King Kid's Club. Just throw Hawk in there to replace 'Wheels' and it's complete.

I'll take a Tunnel Rat meal with a coke and a Duke meal with a chocolate milkshake, please.
