The reason:
I was at the UW Badgers football home opener today (yes we won, 56 - 42 vs. Bowling Green in a heck of a shootout) and thought this would be a great contest to throw. Very few if any of you here at the boards know much about me other then the fact that I collect GI Joe hardcore. Some might know that I've attended the UW - Madison for the last 5 years and recently have graduated. What many might not know is, while I was at the UW I attended MANY sporting events. This is where you get to know me a bit better comes into play. Alright, so you know I love GI Joes, but I bet you didn't know I love sports. Even more so, I bet you didn't know I love UW Badger sports. This would be my next passion in life next to GI Joes. That brings me to the contest.
The contest:
I have a bag of almost ALL the ticket stubs from the UW sporting events I've attended over the course of the last 5 years. Your job is to guess how many tickets that is, WITHOUT going over. Closest wins.
Rules/Helpful Notes/Hints:
- The contest will run from today Saturday Sept. 3 and end roughly 2 weeks from now on Sept. 17th at 11:59 PM CST.
- The stubs only include the following sports here at the UW: Men's Football, Men's Hockey and Men's Basketball.
- I only counted stubs dated from 2000 - 2005.
- Tickets could include any post game play such as championship or playoff games.
- Tickets could include any preseason games.
- Tickets could include any road games I attended that involved the Badgers.
- I did not attend every possible game, so guessing the total of every game from 2000 - 2005 played in those sports away and at home would not be a correct number.
- I don't even think all the stubs are there anymore, its possible I attend more games, but I use the stubs as bookmarks and might have lost a few. Hence I only counted what I actually still have in the bag. I can provide pictures afterwards as proof if need be.
