View Full Version : Anyone collecting French carded / boxed GIJOEs ?
French_GIJOE 10-20-2005, 05:09 AM Hiya ...
I live in France (don't hit me please) and I'm only into French releases of GIJOE.
Here are some example :

Anyway, those are quite hard to find ...
No need to do some Google search and point me to [URL="http://www.lulu-berlu.com"]www.lulu-berlu.com (http://img48.imageshack.us/img48/7922/100c04597qr.jpg) ...
I've done my home-work :D , they surely have a lot of those, I bought and traded some, but I'd like to ge in contact with some collectors that own some French releases, that are quite often mistaken for Canadian ones.
In order to identify a french edition, check the file card : It's written in French, and only in French (belgian editions have some French, but also some Dutch).
Thanks for your attention !
airedevon 10-20-2005, 06:03 AM Bienvenu!
I have some French items in my collection - not many... I would love to have a few more :-) I collect both Ceji Arbois Action Joe and the later Palitoy and Hasbro Action Force and GI Joe items!
I will check to see if I have any extras (do you have extras for trade?)
Again, welcome to the site!
Aire
cutter27 10-21-2005, 07:21 PM salut et bienvenue!
i collect pretty much whatever i can get my hands on, when it comes to international joe stuff, but i've got no french stuff yet (which really bugs me, considering that i have a bachelor's in french and at one time spoke the language fluently with very little accent)... got anything to sell?

Tattoo Shane 10-22-2005, 08:42 AM Very cool stuff. I love seeing all the different intl versions of these toys.
BTW, if you've got any of those pesky Canadian items, feel free to send them my way. ;)
BelgianGabber 10-22-2005, 03:12 PM Moi j'ai quelques blisters de Action Force, mais les figurines avant 'Gi joe'. Les vraies AF's :)
Dunno if you collect those, but I have two that are on French Cards :)
danielmd06 10-22-2005, 06:01 PM Caveat: This post has nothing to do with the thread.
I took both French and Latin in high school (and always wanted to learn German, Italian, and Japanese). I thought that they were very beautiful languages. Though I don't collect the figures, it's fun to read a foreign tongue again.
Nice posts folks.
The Lord of Steel 11-04-2005, 09:29 AM For European collectors it might be interesting to join gijoe.nl
On that website you find the biggest part of the collectors from belgium and the netherlands.
Most parts are in dutch, but they also have an english spoken part.
It might be interesting to have some contacts with belgian collectors. Belgian items were in french and dutch, but oftenly items from France and Holland were sold over here in Belgium. So it's possible some belgian collectors have some french items for sale.
And by the way: I collect Belgian MOC and MIB stuff. :)
At the moment I'm working on a Belgian gijoe guide. It will take some time before it's finished, but it will be downloadable for free when it's finished.
French_GIJOE 11-04-2005, 06:26 PM And by the way: I collect Belgian MOC and MIB stuff. :)
Hi. I only have 3 carded Belgian 'Joes I'm keeping for future trades :
- Crimson Guard
- TeleViper
- Barbecue
Voilą :) ...
Taichiro 11-05-2005, 02:23 AM I hear French Joes don't come with guns....
French_GIJOE 11-05-2005, 05:34 AM I hear French Joes don't come with guns....
Good one. They also don't shower every day, drink wine every 10 minutes and their knowledge of english is pretty poor ... :D
More seriously, "Mutt & Junkyard" on Action Force card doesn't carry any gun ... nor does he come with his "gas mask". Probably 'cuz he loves his own B.O. . ...

Taichiro 11-05-2005, 01:34 PM Well, in your defense, the newer US Joes come with more guns than they can carry! :D

So I've noticed ! I love the new line, but I'm not collecting it.
