Paper or solid background labels and the mini sub nose cones, seats, engine rotors, the tank's guns, spoiler, missile rack and axles are neon green. Never knew the Brazilian release was different.
Obiwanjacoby 10-30-2005, 03:56 PM Wow! I don't think those are listed in the archives.

Unbeliveable - auction ended with NO bids!

I am not that shocked. It's a pain in the *** dealing with Mercado Livre. I was ripped off for $180 before. The rate for being taken is higher there than on Ebay. I don't bid there any longer just due to it not being entirely safe to do so.

Sorry to hear that. I've never had a trouble with ML, it's basically a matter of researching the seller's feedback (as on e-bay). But I guess that some ML sellers get real greedy when it comes to selling to foreign bidders, which is LAME!

That Gemini almost was mine, Fabio. Almost. I discovered it some days ago, and followed the auction till the last day. But I wasn't home by the ending time of it, so my girlfriend voluntaried to buy it for me - she's taking more care of my collection than me :o. On the last minutes, when she made her bid, a f#$%ing error on ML happened, and when she tried it again, the auction have ended several minutes earlier!
In addition of not having the Gemini, my girlfriend became very sad because of the incident, 'cause she knew how much I wanted the shuttle. Since she's still green on buying at online auctions - which she learned to use just to give me a couple of figures... - she thought it was her fault. That was the worst part for me, because she's the only one who likes me collecting. She even walks around with a list of the figures I don't have, in order to check in some old toy stores in her city (yeah, were living very far from each other nowadays...). Like I said to her, we'll find another one of these days :D
It wasn't her fault at all, since it's not the first time ML made something like that to me... When I was a Magic: The Gathering player, I've found some Hypnotic Specters very very cheap there. Since I simply love that card and mine were traded by the time Fifth Edition came out, I spent a week looking for it. On the final minutes (16, I'll never forget that), before I made my bid, the auction just ended. Sixteen minutes earlier... I was lucky to find four of them some time later even cheaper than the first auction. I don't play Magic anymore, but my beloved Hippies are in my black deck till today. I'll never leave them again :D

Keep an eye out, my man - I'm sure that this one will be re-listed. I was really tempted to buy it too but I have no room for such a beast! :o
WarAngel 10-31-2005, 09:52 AM How does someone pay for purchases on there, do the sellers take paypal?

On thi specific case (where seller states that he'll ship to other countries) I believe he probably has a way to get money from abroad - my guess is Western Union, the most commonly accepted way here...

If you don't speak Portuguese you can't do much there. Most guys that speak English put their stuff up at ebay.com!

Where's she at now? I seem to remember you saying you were in Minas Gerais.

...sounds about right... my portuguese is severely limited, but I've had my wife get stuff on there for me a few times! :D

After you posted the doubt I went to www.paypal.com and found out what I already suspected to be true:
"Users in these countries can withdraw funds by paper check or to a U.S. bank account, but cannot withdraw funds electronically to their local bank account:
Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, India, Jamaica, Uruguay"
In my opinion this limits pretty much the number of Brazilian sellers taking PayPal as payment once there are no US banks over here...

Hey, well
Thank you for helping. :)
Stileto 11-06-2005, 12:59 PM Excelente Fabio! (por el juguete, no por lo de Paypal)

She lives in the south of the country, something like 16 hours in a bus from here :(
And I've asked the seller (in other of his auctions) if he would sell me Gemini, and he wants 150 reais (60-70 dollars, right?) for it... No way. And I almost had it and Hidroforça de Devastação for 100 reais...
Xerofall 11-11-2005, 10:02 AM http://babelfish.altavista.com/ it's Alta Vista's Babelfish translator, you can translate your text into several different languages.
It's not 100 % perfect, but you can get the jist of things well enough to communicate.
