However, i've been doing some reseach and this listing does not match up with the original airdates. The Traitor 2-parter should be after Bazooka Saw a Sea Serpent, and Captives of Cobra should fall directly after The Germ. These are just two examples.
This new sequence by Rhino doesn't really make a lot of sense as they have Worlds Without End appearing before the Traitor. As we all know, three Joes stayed behind in a parallel universe in WwE. But these same Joes all appear in The Traitor which comes afterwards on Rhino's set.
Does anybody know why they did this?

Thomas Wheeler's Animation Guide follows what you have said. According to the guide, the Pyramid of Darkness mini-series aired after Memories of Mara and was followed by The Traitor Parts 1-2.

I don't know who is right though, because Rhino lists the original air dates on their notes. According to Rhino they are following the original air dates.

Well that can't be right. Pyramids of Darkness kicked off the first full season so it couldn't have come after Memories of Mara. I seemed to have been mislead with some of my other info though. Apparently The Traitor did indeed air after Worlds Without End. So i guess the Sunbow writers didn't talk to each other, and whoever wrote The Traitor didn't know Clutch, Steeler, and Grunt stayed behind in WWE. But it still doesn't explain why Rhino appears to have switched the episodes up chronologically.

Hmmm, I don't know what to tell you. I would personally go off of QKtheatre.com's info, he was in the know.

Of course the networks that were showing the episodes could've re-arranged them, there are many reasons why the air dates don't match up.

QKtheatre.com even mentions the fact that the Joes from WWE were seen later on in The Traitor.

But I really don't know.

Honestly, when it comes to these old cartoons, I don't worry so much about the listing (It'd be bad if they had a season 2 episode in a season 1 box) but with the fact that everyone goes by original air dates and those are usually never 100% correct (The networks sometimes aired an episode first cuz it was done, not cuz it was next in chronological order) If we had access to the Production numbers, then we'd have the actual list. When I say production numbers, I don't mean when each episode was completed, I mean the chonological number the production company gives the episode.

Example: Batman Beyond, I was working at a WB station when this was airing and on my rundown sheet (It told the episode segment times and the commercials that the network would air) it had the episode number of each episode (They were labeled BB-101, BB-102 for Batman Beyond season 1 episode 01 and season 1 episode 02, etc...) now look at most lists that are "airdate" lists, the last episode is called "unmasked" well that's because WB never aired that episode, it wasn't aired until Cartoon Network got the series after WB cancelled it. Also many other episodes were put out of order cuz the WB would air the episodes out of order (maybe one wasn't done, or there were other reasons holding it up, or they had a two parter to air like the one with the Justice League and they had a ratings weekend comming up)

So personally, I don't believe any list till I see the Production Numbers for the episodes.

Correction: I used Wheeler as my source when I originally put up the website. I actually did conform to Mr. Thornton's figures a couple years ago when I started the transcripts. The only difference is that I consider production order to be closer to the intended chronology than the air-date order (e.g., for WWE issues).
