Did any of you UK collectors join the Action Force Club, and get that nifty green wallet-thing with the filecards, choose-your-own-adventure style mission and the audio cassette with the story where Snake Eyes speaks with the dodgy Asian accent? Or how about the Special Corps -- the UK's answer to Steel Brigade?

The Action Force Club issued us with codenames; I was wondering how many they actually had? I got the mysterious moniker "Night Hornet!"

When we got to choose our own codename for the Special Corps I went with "Stormer." Unfortunately they'd run out of the exclusive figure and sent me Tiger Force Duke as a substitute but thanks to eBay I can now fight alongside my fellow Joes! Thinking about making a Night Hornet custom too...

Yeah, I remember having that. It came with a set of dogtags that I lost in about 3 hours. Wasn't the tape called "Operation Anaconda"? Forgotten what my code name was tho. Never collected the Special Corps, I prefered the Trooper (grunt) you could mail away for. I got about 7 of those. I used to love the full- page ads in BAF where he was chained in a dungeon. And remember they even went 3-D sometimes. Ah.. back in the days..

I'm pretty sure the tape was "Operation: Shutdown." I still have it around here somewhere...!

It probably was operation shutdown. My memory and knowledge aren't encyclopaedic.

Mine are, except when it comes to things like academic studies...! I can give you character names, plots, themes, etc, to pretty much every action-adventure cartoon on UK TV from 1982-1995, though...!

When you get it can you list/put up a photo on the boards?
That way I might remember what the heck was in it.
Thanks.

Oh the memories. That said Im sure mine was AF, before the Joes hit the UK.
Im sure it also had a set of dogtags. Probably a different package.

It should be noted that the filecards from the club kit are of thinner paperstock.

The cassette is hilarious. Snake-Eyes alone makes the Mission Brazil or Listen & Fun tapes look soooo good by comparison.
