Ive only seen this one (below). it looks to be the exact same thing as the sonya blades in the archive here (http://www.yojoe.com/archive/actfig/mortalkombat.shtml). so who made these figures? are there more? do they have joe molds?

Not sure who made them, but i have seen them
these i believe are bigger, about 5 inches in height or so

I actually have a Johnny Cage & Unmasked Sub-Zero Figures of these

Lemme try to post up some pix later tonight

how can it be 5", her and her acc. look identical to the 3 3/4" ones. Why would someone go through the trouble of sculpting the exact same thing only bigger:confused:

Why can you find Beast Wars Rattrap at Big lots only he's 3 times the size the original toy is? It looks like the package says it's made by toy island, sounds like it's a knock off to me, or someone else acquired the rights and molds but wanted it to be bigger so that it wouldn't be a knock off

I read somewhere (can't remember where) that they were made in 1997 by the Toy Island Company

thanks to everyone for the info. i still find it odd that they would resculpt everything identicle (only bigger) then sculpting their own.

Spike, I agree with you - it is very odd that some of the sculpts are so similar.. I've always wanted to know the story behind these figures.

I just took some pics of the figures - side by side with their Hasbro counterparts... Some of them are really close sculpt-wise... Sub Zero, however, is nothing like either of the Joe versions - and Toy Island also made 3 figures that Hasbro did not ( Cyrax, Jax, and Jade).

I bought the first series in 96 and the second series in 97
