I was browsing TRU a couple of years ago, and this box caught my eye
http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/donsbabyboo/detail?.dir=/4b08&.dnm=d4b9.jpg&.src=ph

yep exactly, a BLUE Slipstream - i was wondering if anybody else has
seen this at your TRUs?
just click on the NEXT button to see several other pix of this item...

Don,

It appears to be the '92 Ace with a new Slipstream head.

Anyway someone could have done a repack and return? I have no idea why you would, but was the toy solidly sealed?

I agree, it's a body/head swap and reseal job. A really strange one, but a body/head swap nonetheless

tell me about it

I opened up the package the other day when I took these pix
and if it was a reseal, it was a really good one cuz there are no
signs of lifting on the bubble...

I will check on it again tonight & see if I can take better pix

I completely forgot about this!! :o

anyways, i was looking closely at the bubble & it lifted with glue
residue on it, so much for my "rare" find...

I can see why someone would do this. They don't want what looks like a Cobra Body for their Slipstream and the head for the TRU one is horrendous

Off topic :o
the 2003 TRU Slipstream has a REALLY good color scheme
so yah, i also understand why someone would do this as well

PLUS the Ace v2 helmet would match the TRU Slipstream more
than the Blue & Green uniform

How in the world do people life a seal without it being obvious? I guess I am just not that creative. How do they do that. That is awful. I will second guess everything I buy now.

heat up the glue probably with a hair dryer. Good for fixing warped soft plastic. also helps with removing stickers.
