Over the summer I completeed the entire Marvel run. Now I'm wondering which Joe series I should collect next. Any ideas. There seem to be quite a few so I'd like to pick the best one or any that pick up where Marvel left off. Let's hear your 2 cents worth.

You should check out GI-Joe: America's Elite (Devils Due Publishing). Personally, ..I like this series just as much as the original marvel series. It's a good read.

Hope this helps.... :)

Try GI Joe: A Real American Hero by Image/DevilsDuePublishing. It ran for40-something isssues starting in 2001, and is pretty good.

My choices to follow up the Marvel run....

G.I.Joe Declassified
Snake Eyes Declassified
Scarlett Declassified
Master & Apprentice (first series)

I would go after the Special & European Missions and Yearbooks. If you already have those, I would read the '01 series and Frontline before going on to America's Elite

Is Frontline in continuity with the Marvel and DD series'?

Frontline is in continuity with both series, but the quality varies between storyarc/writer/artist.

My thoughts...

1-4 by Hama/Jurgens bridges Marvel and Devils Due/Image, I didn't care for the arc much.

5-8 was well written, avoid if you can't stomach a little bit of science fiction.

9-10 Zanya origin, ok.

11-14 Jerwa's first work, excellent story

15 Stalker story, nothing exciting

16 destro/cobra commander/night creepers, bland

17 Beachhead by Jenkins, my favorite issue of the run

18 a fun Roadblock/Dreadnoks story, nothing serious, but fun if you liked the cartoon.

I agree, the second arc was great as was the Chuckles arc and the Beachhead story was the best.
