Just a silly thread, but if we ever got a new 'Real Person' or Real fictional character (ie Jack Baur, Ethan Hunt, James Bond, Sydney Bristow) who do you think would be a good fit or a good marketing choice for Hasbro.

I think Shaq would be a no brainer. He is huge and could be a nice addition. Plus I think his dad was in the military (Marine?) so there is a good tie and you have the NBA marketing to help support the figure.

I'm sure there is another wrestler who could be used, but I haven't really watched that since the days of Goldberg vs. Hogan and HHH, NAO and Waltman in DX. Maybe Cena?

Shaq's dad was US Army.

I suggested the members of "The Unit" as a six pack a few months ago so they would have my vote. Jack Bauer would be cool though.

Y'know, I always felt kind of weird playing with "Real" figures. It just seemed different to me and kind of weird.

I always thought Ice Cube would be fun too.

US Army...got it. Those would all be pretty cool. I think Bauer would be a cool figure.

What also would be cool is if Hasbro decided to make another figure line in the 25th style. If they got the Bond license or the 24 license and they made figures using the same style as Joe so if you liked to mix them you could or not if it is not your thing.

I guess kinda like they did with Street Fighter.

I'd have to put my vote in for ...Artie Lange... not a super hero for everyone... But for some, he's the best super hero of all.

He better be one of those Talking Battle Commanders or Sonic Fighters that comes with a "snoring" sound :p

Great tag line for him:

I also vote for the guys from The Unit. The A-Team might be cool. The team from Predator also. Bond and Bauer would be ok. Sylvester Stallone, Chuck Norris. I've always wanted to see actual generic military figures built like GI Joe figures too. US Marines, US Army, etc. in 25th Anniversary style - Real American Heroes. I'd want to see British and other allies too.

While hes not exactly a real person, I'd like to see The Punisher in 25th Ann Joe scale. Seriously, hook me up Hasbro, and include TONS OF GUNS.

Also, while I'm talking comcs, MARVEL "Zombie-fied" some of their characters. How about a Zombie Cobra Commander or Zombie Baroness and so on? Any takers?

I have seen pics of the zombie figures and was wondering - Why exactly did they make these figures? Was there some zombie storyline in the comics?

There was a proposed marvel/hasbro tie in with Rocky. but It fell through, don't know why. I just remember Marvel jumping the gun and puting a Rocky Bio in its first "order of battle" then quicky retracting it.

they should have chuck norris....hes one bad mother....takes no gruff from anyone and he can take over quick kicks spot with his martical arts

also i would like to see jennifer garners character from alias as intelegince or undercover spy...she made daredevil worth waching (well bullseye and kingpin were cool)

but the best one would be

R LEE EMERY...THE ROUGHEST TOUGHEST KICK BOOTY MARINE THAT EVER HAD A TV SHOW...AND WAS AWSOME IN PLATOON OR FULL METAL JACKET(can't remember) AS WELL AS IN THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE REMAKE!

Snake Plissken from Escape From New York and L.A. and also Ash from the Evil Dead series. I've always loved those charactors. YoJoe member Starscream2 has a really cool Ash custom posted on his site.

Ok - first -
Saddam, Osama, and Hitler would never be Cobra. For one, Cobra already has a fantastic psycho running the show (several if you consider all the problems Cobra Commander has maintaining control) second - Cobra is just too cool to employ such incredble (fill in your own appropriate labels for such people).

Although I would love to see GI Joe, beat some serious booty all over real world terrorists, I enjoy the fantasy aspect of Cobra.

I think John McClain (again with a new movie tie-in) would be really cool.

It would also be interesting to see the entire Star Wars line done in this same sculpt. Lord knows they've released all those figures enough times - what is one more launch with a "new sculpt."

Oh - and I've always wanted to see a GREAT Indiana Jones 3 3/4 figure released. The playsets from the Original Kenner launch were great - but the figures are iffy at best.

(1) Batman! ...but alas, he doesn't use guns...

(2) Another sequel for Die Hard is coming out, so why not yippy-ky-yay-John-McClane? Could be another shoeless figure...

(3) and from the WWE, John Cena would be okay being a "Marine" or perhaps Bobby Lashley from the Army?

1. Pat Tillman, It would be great to honor him by having a Gi Joe figure made of him. But I think there would be to much controversy. I also think the proceeds of the sale should go to a charitable foundation.

2. The Commander in Chief , that’s right a President figure, I know its way to political but don’t make it look like a President, just a man in a suit with the file card of the presidents duties. Make sure you make it a-political (politically neutral).

3. Me, I loved the “Create a Cobra” how about a “Create a Joe”.

4.

These are two really great Ideas, I'm mean A-1. They made the "fridge" and all he did was..... Well he didn't make the ultimate sacrifice. I thing Pat Tillman is a great Idea.

maybe showing my ignorance here (or simply the fact Im not Anerican) but who?
Also, Id be all over a President fig- mainly because Ive wanted a double-breasted suit wearing figure for years.
Id go with The Unit too
I know its not real life, but Id love to see a Sam Fisher figure too.

Pat Tillman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_Tillman) was an American football player who left his professional sports career and enlisted in the United States Army, he was killed in action (apparently by “friendly fire (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friendly_fire)”; which I’ve never though could be very “friendly” if it kills you…)
More info found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_Tillman

I agree, although not a real person, I would be very much for a Sam Fisher figure, that would be neat.

Otherwise I can't think of any current real people I would like to see, I wouldn't mind an anniversary sculpt of Sgt Slaughter (Always dug him) but can't think of any current people I would be interested in right now.

There is controversy around his death, granted. But Pro or Con for the war, you have to give props to some one who gives up a lucrative career in the NFL (for our international friends, Pat was a upper middle tier player making large money) to join the Army because "thats what he believed in" "a real American Hero" IMO.

As far as army builder Soldiers I use this guy, He pulls a lot of guard duty.

But a Sailor (not in a wetsuit) and Airman (not pilot) would be a good addition.

Totally agree.

I love that figure and I would think 25th Sculpt versions of Soldiers, Marines, Airmen and Sailors would be marketable even beyond Joe fans.

I don't know why, but I thought of the Rock. I'm not a wrestling fan by any means, btw...

I really don't know why he was the first and really only one to come to mind. As far as "fictional real" characters Jack Bauer would be awesome, and I've always wanted GI Joe figures for the teams from Predator and Aliens.

i think the idea of R. Lee Ermey is a great one. he's the perfect Drill Sergeant, though wasn't that Slaughter's purpose. Still, I never was into Slaughter, so Ermey would be an upgrade.

How about Solid Snake from Metal Gear? Pretty cool character and armed to the teeth.

I actually think the Pat Tillman thing would be cool, but I can see people getting upset with children simulating war with his figure.

This may be a bit off topic, but I have always wished there was a 3 3/4" line of Civil War figures. There are plenty of WWII ones, but not much in the way of ACW. A Joe-sized version of Stonewall Jackson or George McClellan would be cool.

Otherwise, I think Russell Crowe would make a good Joe.

I would love this! Especially if it was RAH style but 25th Anniversary style would be awesome too. I'd want the whole squad though, and some Germans to go with them.

R. Lee Ermey is a great idea as well.

No I think this is still on topic. I would love the 25th sculpt style to be so popular they begin to add figures or lines that included some of the more realistic figures of the 12 inch line - Civil War, WWII, famous soldiers - the whole nine yards.

I'm all over the Pat Tillman figure. Or the service men Army builders! Or the President figure particularly the ones that served. Washington, Teddy, IKE, or some of Americas Greatest generals. Patton, Nimitz, Pershing, Schwarzkoff, (Bring em back from the dead to fight Serpentor whenever he comes back)

I was thinking about medal of honor winners like Audey Murphy, Roy Benavidez (the Most complete baddy of all), sgt. york.

From Skystriker - "3. Me, I loved the “Create a Cobra” how about a “Create a Joe”."

There have actually been two "Create a Joe" type figures - the original mail away Steel Brigade trooper (who proceeded the "Create a Cobra"), and the G.I.Joe Reservist figure that I believe came as part of the items awarded for joining the Joe Fan Club at one point in time.

And I guess I'll vote for Gunny Ermey too, in a some MARPAT fatigues. I'd also like to see a Sgt. Rock figure.

A little OT, but a 25th Joe Colton figure would be AWESOME!
