Why not? Or, why?

why? cuz he's a samurai warrior! personally, I would love to see a new figure of this character. I think he's one of the most underrated joes from the late 80's, I can't believe this guy is so unpopular amongst collectors

No. Haven't we had enough Ninjas for a while (25A or otherwise)?

ahh but he is not a ninja he is a samurai and we are only tired of ninjas because popular though they are they are crammed down our collective throats with every wave i personally would like to see a budo figure the difference here is in the 25 years there has only been 1 maybe 2 budo figures there have been close to 40 snakeeyes figures including s6 and at least 30 storm shadows. he was a cool figure and i think he should be included (although he probably won't be)

we need a budo and jinx two pack with the jinx being the devils due version, since they are a couple and all in the comic book

I think Budo and the rest of the 1988 Joes are awesome. I would love to see a Budo, but I would like the see the 1982-1986 Joes done first.

I think a Budo were be great. I happily take a version of his 88 figure, but I have to admit a subdued figure similar in looks to future Hiro from the show Heroes (for those not familar - he wore black with a black trench, hair in a pony, soul patch with a kick butt samurai sword.) with some add on Samurai gear would be great.

Dean, there's well over 200 different GI Joe team members. There's probably 100+ guys ahead of Budo I'd have on the 25A consideration list. Budo's kinda interesting and all but c'mon!

Yeah, I like Budo but there are way too many characters I'd want to see first.

Mainly, I just want a SAMURAI figure with the posability of the 25th line.. It's an added bonus for me we have a character in the Joe universe to make one after. Plus, just imagine his new cardback. It would be sweet, plus, our relations with Japan will be more solidified, and the PS3 will drop in price another $100. I have big plans, you'll see :D

Yeah, I'd definitely buy a new Budo figure. Hasbro really needs to take post-86 characters into account for the new 25th. Anniversary line. So far, including rumor lists, there haven't been any characters introduced to the line after 1986 mentioned; and, if we count Serpentor, Zartan, Storm Shadow, and IG Destro, that would still make only 4 figures based on post-'86 outfits for the characters, and still none based on later characters. Come on, Hasbro. Give us Budo. Give us Hit and Run. Give us a Desert Scorpion.

Wow it's amazing to see all this love for Budo, I thought I was going to be the only one rooting for him.

Is it me or this is the kind of figure that grows on you? I recall he wasn't very popular back in the day

Well since it was stated that the version 1 storm shadow is coming out which is what I was really hoping for single carded.I would love to see a budo and a jinx.

Yeah, there's a good reason for that too!!

Naw, just messing with you, mostly. As bad as Joe started getting after that point, there were a few gems. Just not as much as in the first 5-6 years.

Budo?

*ten minutes of laughter and uncontrolled gas passing*

ahem...

I would definitely be in the NO BUDO camp. Not that it's really an issue, I HIGHLY DOUBT it'll come to "To Budo or not to Budo?" for Hasbro, but it would be a shame if it did. There are about 50 other Joes right off the top of my head that are in line ahead of him. There are another 50 that I'd have to be looking at a sheet to place ahead of him as well.

He's not even the top guy in his own YEAR of Joes.

I know what you mean about the Samurai (it's nice to counter all of the ninja stuff with), but let's get some kick *** pre 89 figures before we start going down Budo Lane...

I do agree I would like to see from 1982-1986 done first before any others, but I would eventually like to see a budo.

why can't we have a few cool figures from every year of the original run, why limit it to 82-86 mix and match there are plenty of cool figures and plenty of duds from every year "budo and jinx two pack please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Budo has never been a favorite of mine. I just didn't get it (as a character). So, I would say "no thanks" to a 25th version.
