And his new contract with the Yankees ensures that he will be present when they open their new ballpark across the street for the 2009 season. Being a Yankee fan I really don't know what to think now... Maybe he should have left the team ...

As a Red Sox fan I had hoped he would just 'go away' to another team, as I was tired of hearing about him. Nothing to do with being afraid of him, I'm just tired of him. Now we have to hear about him for another 10 years. And all my Yankee fan-friends were relieved a month or so ago when it seemed like he was headed out of New York, as none of them really liked him. Now? They're pretty much in the same boat you are....They're not sure what to think. I get the feeling Yankees fans are kinda sick of him as well.
