Hasbro gives us an exclusive one-time special session Q & A!

YoJoe: The Cobra Red Ninja is a very clear homage to the red Storm Shadow Figure from Argentina. Can we look forward to seeing more internationally themed/homage figures, such as a silver and blue Scarlett, or Blue camouflage Stalker in the future?

Hasbro: This is something you may see in the longer term, but not in 2008.

YoJoe: First off, THANK YOU for bringing a new version of Grand Slam into our collections! Collectors far and wide are anticipating adding this favorite original Joe to their line of 25th anniversary figures - but one big question remains, will he come with his JUMP jet pack and laser rifle, or just as a vehicle driver? If not, is there any chance of seeing Grand Slam later on as a single figure on a card with all of his gear?

Hasbro: Grand Slam is currently planned only as the vehicle driver without the pack and rifle, but thanks for the feedback.

YoJoe: Will the Target exclusive AWE Striker driver be officially named Crankcase?

Hasbro: Yes.

YoJoe: Wave 3 of the single packs seemed to have come with an inordinate number of variants and "running changes"...can we expect this many different versions of these figures going forward, or will they be kept to a minimum in the future?

Hasbro: This will be kept down in the future. The Shipwreck was a planned variant while the Stalker was a change we made to the figure after seeing the first sample to have it better match the 80's.

YoJoe: With wave 4 single card figures being repacks of the 5-figure boxed sets, the Baroness is mysteriously absent. Will we see her or a new iteration of her in a future wave?

Hasbro: We can't reveal specifics yet, but we have plans for the Baroness in 2008.

YoJoe: One of the highlights in the later years of the Real American Hero line, were repaints of key characters/figures into themed sub-teams. Can we expect to see a Tiger Force or Python Patrol figure or two scattered into the line up?

Hasbro: You wont see this in the first half of 2008. Beyond that, we are not yet revealing what is coming up next.

YoJoe: As is customary in the comics industry, publishers often reveal a couple of pages of upcoming books. Can we expect to see sample pages of the new works from Larry Hama and the comic pack figure line?

Hasbro: We did this at JoeCon to thank the fans that attended. This is something we can look into for the future Hama books, thanks for the idea.

YoJoe: Can we expect other licensed properties similar to the deck of cards from SDCC, such as T-shirts, hats, and more to be released, and if so, can we know which brands/retailers to keep an eye on?

Hasbro: Our expectation is that with the movie in 2009, G.I. Joe will branch out into many licensed categories. As things get closer, wešll definitely keep the fans posted.

YoJoe: We fans and collectors talk about what we want all the time, but if circumstances were reversed and you had your choice, what favorite vehicle or characters would you like to imagine on the shelves? Just for fun.

Hasbro: Hmmmm....as fans from the 80's we have gotten the green light to do almost everything we want for the 25th. I know many team members want a FLAGG because they did not have one as a kid. A quick poll of the team shows some wants are new Vipers, BATs, Serpentor with 80's helmet, and 8" Scarlett.

YoJoe: Can we expect any kind of deluxe or premium format figure, such as with a mini-vehicle or special anniversary packaging?

Hasbro: Right now we are sticking with Single Cards and Comic packs in the spring. We have some fall 2008 ideas that will knock your socks off!
