Thought Id just post this up as lots of people seem to be asking about where to get the AFA style acrylic cases from to store your MISB/MOC joes .

Here are two of these company selling these ....

http://www.wholesalecases.com/

http://oscarscases.com/

Also , not many people know that you can buy the acrylic cases direct from AFA .
All the types including the uv resistant ones right here ......

http://www.toygrader.com/caseorder.aspx

Just thought id make a post to let anyone who was wondering know where to get these from

This might be worth making it a sticky as the links are helpful and the question comes up a couple times a year.

More like twice a week. :p

More like twice a week. :p Yeah seems like I remember a few (many) of those threads...

Might not be a bad idea to sticky this – it could be edited to give the link to AFA’s normal service (the actual grading service) too, so people would have a link to that option as well - so it was sort of combined into a resource for grading and cases (without grading) too...that might be of big help to some MOC/MIB fans...

And, if any new options for case sources, or grading sources, cropped up in the future then they could be edited in to this thread as well…

Might cut down on those questions...

never know... just my 2 cents

So I know the title of this thread is "acrylic cases", but I figured it would be silly to start a new thread just for Star cases. Anyways, on to my question - is there a Star case that fits the taller 93/94 cards? So far I haven't find any and it's really annoying because I have so many 93/94 cards I want to protect. Any help is appreciated.

I have been collecting the New 25th anniversary Gi joes and would like to protect them in a case. I have the Gold headed destro, etc. Now where can I purchase star cases and get a good price on them. Also is there a certain star case I should get or model?

Another question is can I use the same case for the older 80's cases.

Thanks for your help

Looks like I am not the only one wondering where to find star cases for the 25th line of joes, any luck yet from those who have been looking?

I like these cases the best. They are 1 piece instead of 2 seperate pieces like the star cases. They work really well. I use them for all vintage and 25th.

The first case on this page http://www.wholesalecases.com/star-wars-supplies.html
Works just fine.

Practically any case for SW figures will work.

A few years ago, the Yojoe-Store, later 375toys.com offered some acrylic cases for display of loose figures. That particular case is found here

http://giovanniplastics.com/special.htm

as #10DRAG. This is where we were getting them from. They are awesome for any 3-3/4 display of loose figures. Every SW figure can fit too, except some of the tallest of the tall.

I'm a really big collector,
in fact so big of a collector that at one time
i had over 200 loose gijoes in a collection that with all my
moc's was about 300 gijoes.........very big.

I love AFA and moc's,

the 2 AFA graded joes i had but sold 3 years ago

were Japanese breaker AFA 75

and Destro japanese afa 60

i guess my question is that if anyone can answer.........

do lower graded afa's or japanese lower graded afa's

sell for tons less than higher grade?

thanks

Oscar from Oscar's Cases will cusom build any acrylic case for you. I have had him this for me for this piece - I have shown it before on this board but it is still a great example of an odd shaped item he can make cases for.

Which Star Case will fit the 1993-1995 G.I. Joe figures? Also I was thinking of getting the following case to put my file card in with the respective figure. Do you think it will work?

Hasbro Toy Shop had the plastic clam shell cases with the gijoe logo and the stars in the circles like SDCC. They stopped selling them at one time because the size was off a few 1/8' inches and it was bending cards so before you put some pristine card in, try it with an average condition one!

Also, I ordered some custom AFA-hard plastic cases with the slide out bottom awhile ago and they were sent in the wrong size. I have 3 and if anyone wants to pay a few bucks for shipping I'll send them to you. They are approx. 5 3/4" wide x 6 5/8" (inside case dimensions) and DO NOT hold standard Joe packages that I know of. Just email me direct if interested.
