The first official images of Snake Eyes from the forthcoming G.I. Joe live-action film have been revealed by both IESB.net (http://www.iesb.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=4570&Itemid=99) and USA Today (http://www.usatoday.com/life/movies/news/2008-03-20-gi-joe-preview_N.htm).

"He's the world's greatest ninja, but he's also next-generation. He's not afraid to use a sword one second, and a split-second later he's pulling out his Glock," says film director Stephen Sommers, whose previous work includes The Mummy and Van Helsing. "His chief nemesis is arguably the world's other great ninja, Storm Shadow. The two grew up together, were blood brothers and now are mortal enemies..."

What roll these two will play in the film, scheduled to hit theaters in August 2009, is still undetermined, but there's no doubt both of these super-popular characters will impress new and old fans alike.

Is that the Arashikage symbol on his arm or the American flag?

Arishikage hexagram. Should have pointed this out earlier, but you can click on the picture to see a larger version.

I like the hexagram detail on his sword more than his uniform.

Looks great, the hexagram is a nice touch. An uzi would have looked far better than the pistol on this pic though...

Why would they want to put the image on his arm? He's never had it there before...they (Arishkage) aren't supposed to advertise themselves, right?

The first Devil's Due version had the hexagram there. The movie costume is dutifully accurate to the DDP model. And that makes me giddy like a schoolboy.

Looking at this picture makes me very confident about the movie being good. Can't wait to see Storm Shadow and CC!
