First up, nice score Dryhawk.

Now, who the heck are some of these guys?? Specifically:

The guy to the left of Ice Cream Soldier
The guy on the upper ladder (Battle Corps Rangers Flint perhaps?)
The purple guy on the lower ladder
White-suited guy manning the missile station
The guy using the hook
The guy manning the machine gun

Inquiring minds want to know. (And nice scans for the preproduction archive would be great!)

And while we're on the topic, has it ever really been confirmed that the black and grey uniformed Joe would in fact have been Flint, other than the name mentioned in the '94 Con AFN&TR issue?

It seems odd that Hasbro would put two different Flints on the Battle Station's box artwork. Maybe the black and grey guy is in fact a different character than Flint?!?

That white-suited guy manning the station is probably Big Ben....his filecard is there on the box bottom...

That would be logical that that would be Big Ben if he was to come with the set, but I don't think it is he. Big Ben has a hat, not a cap, and no beard. Plus the Big Ben that would come with the set would have had brown pants (photos of him have been on eBay in the last year, possibly an actual sample of the figure as well). The torso details don't match either.

This box art certainly seems to indicate that. Since the other '94 figs are just their card artwork, maybe '95 would have seen those characters repainted and included in the Battle Rangers line. (I also think the guy kneeling by the missiles looks an awful lot like the Chinese Flint. Maybe that mold was prepped for BR, too and China ended up getting it, but as Flint instead of Falcon or another, new character.)

Hmm. If you have a copy of those photos, would you mind shooting them my way? mrtaber@gmail.com

That is a possibility, sice what little that has surfaced of the 1995 line shows a lot of repaints so far. Nt just the recently reviewed Shipwreck, but both Flint and the Baroness 1995 molds would have seen similar repaints.

Could the Gunner dressed in artic camo be a repainted Frost Bite or maybe SpaceShot? the prurple ladder guy seems like its Doc Mindbender with his helmet on.

I'm gonna say you're right on the Dr. Mindbender. The coloring and detailing about the body matches up almost spot-on to the painted hardcopy on yojoe.com. What threw me were the horns on the helmet. There aren't horns on the hardcopy helmet, but hoses. Weird.

And how about that? That sure looks like he has the 1992/1993 Wet Suit gun, doesn't it?

Interesting.... The paint does match up. But, the Mindbender helmet has holes on the back where the hoses would have plugged in, so I think that was pretty close to the final design. The arms also don't quite match. (Especially with Mindbender's deformed hand. Speaking of that, I don't think the intention was for it to be gloved since they took the time to sculpt finger nails.) However, this figure's back does look like Mindbender's. So, maybe the two figures would have shared the same parts?

Does anybody saved the image in their computer. I know is a lot to ask since I'm new to boards but a PM would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I spotted Battle Rangers Footloose right next to Battle Corps Flint. I also see Dial-Tone.
