karamazov80 08-07-2008, 11:23 AM That Snake Eyes is too awesome. I hope that Quick Kick's eyes get fixed, though :(
Pyramid of Darkness cube rocks, too! I wonder if some people will try to accumulate those for use as "energon cubes"?
Erick 08-07-2008, 11:49 AM Looks like a neat dvd pack, There's something about QK's eyes though :D
Falcone 08-07-2008, 03:52 PM Looks like a neat dvd pack, There's something about QK's eyes though :D
He's got a lazy eye!
I'm really looking forward to that Major Bludd!
I love the Quick Kick figure. I do think that he should have rated getting his own single pack figure though.
That Bludd does look good. Is that a new head sculpt? Or is it just the lighter colored helmet that's throwing me?
Weezus 08-07-2008, 08:06 PM that snake eyes looks horrible. looks like its made of play dough. visor is huge, ankle things look ridiculous, colors are bad.
i like the sword though.
quick kick looks like a mongloid, not just the eyes, the whole head sculpt.
cobra commander, wow i need another. i already have three which is two more than i wanted. hes not even good for customising.
and the major blood is meh. im happier with the desert pack bludd.
kind of wierd, it was so close to being awesome, i was waiting for quick kick and snake eyes, but wow, these are fail.
the sad thing is i will buy it anyway.
RATtler 08-07-2008, 10:05 PM Well, let's see...
Quick Kick: Wow...not bad as a follow up to the original toy, it's Bruce Lee with a lazy eye in Joe clothing.
Snake Eyes: Yikes, scary. The best part is the rifle. I bought the Snake Eyes / Timber (White), and am quite satisfied with that. Only other Snake Eyes that I kept was The MASS Device version.
Cobra Commander: Another Commander? He's getting as annoying as the Snake Eyes clones.
Major Bludd: The chest plate looks very familiar, but the figure looks great! Too bad I only keep Joe's. Cobra's get sold to the highest bidder.
Pyramid Cube: Kick @$$! The one in the set and 3 others (from eBay) will make a great collection piece.
MASS Device piece: Naturally, it's needed...nuff said.
karamazov80 08-08-2008, 08:19 AM I can't believe you guys hate Snake Eyes :D
Obviously, taste is completely subjective, but I really love this guy due to his close resemblance to his original, 1985 counterpart in the toy and cartoon (the color scheme is obviously cartoon-based). I actually think that I am more excited about him than I am for any other forthcoming figure (well, ever since I read that the new Zartan is going to look as dull as he does on Entertainment Earth's website). Once I get him, I will have absolutely no use for my wave 1 Snake.
Nagurimono 08-08-2008, 09:14 AM This is one DVD I am fully looking forward to!
Quick Kick works theres not alot to screw up...
I like the animated look to snake eyes.
Don't need corba comander but thats ok.
Major Bludd is cool I didn't buy the single.
and the way I see this kind of thing is perfect for a gift, get some kid 4 cool guys and a dvd and *poof* another fan!
Rooster3D 08-08-2008, 10:04 AM That Snake Eyes is too awesome. I hope that Quick Kick's eyes get fixed, though :(
Pyramid of Darkness cube rocks, too! I wonder if some people will try to accumulate those for use as "energon cubes"?QK liked to do impressions and impersonations of famous people. That's him doing Columbo.
I don't see how that is a cartoon accurate SE. Did they EVEN WATCH the cartoon, or did they just skim through it in 16x fast forward? He should have ankle pouches similar to the thigh pouches we see on Cobra troopers, but instead they gave him ankle weights. Cartoon or 2007 figure, as a ninja he should not have ANYTHING on his inner ankles.
sparks007 08-08-2008, 08:33 PM those are not ankle weights they are Wonder Womans wrist gauntlets . He probably has her invisible jet parked around here somewhere. Snake Eyes is a pimp.
Syna3sthesia 08-08-2008, 08:53 PM I like this set. Snake Eyes looks cool and so does Quick Kick and the cube is a nice touch!
John Missal 08-09-2008, 12:27 AM Another set I will only be buying for the DVD and the MASS part.... Anyone need another Hooded CC? certainly not me.

I'm definitely getting it for the DVD and MASS part as well, but I also want Columbo-QK and Bludd. I'm not crazy about the control cube, but at least it's not a Duke repaint. CC and SE are the only things here I really don't want.
Looks like a good set. They are finally getting that Cobra Commander figure right, I just hope the shade of blue his uniform is is close to one of the helmeted versions (don't have the comic pack or TRU versions of it). And a big THANK GOD that they aren't using the Zartan body for this Bludd.

Dood Seriously,
what the **** is it with hasbro painting the eyes all CRAZY on these figures.
I love quick kick and don't think this figure does him justice at ALL
I wanted to see a classic head sculpt quick kick but this will do..
I hope they fix that eye if not I will have to do it :(
Weezus 08-11-2008, 06:41 AM arent these official hasbro promo shots?
think they wouldve caught that lazy eye.
John Missal 08-11-2008, 01:44 PM I wish the cube was full sized to scale... even if made of paper board... ok....custom cutting time coming on..

FirstSergeantDuke 09-24-2008, 04:31 PM When will these DVD battlepacks be in stores???
All I see are abundant Mass Device and Revenge of Cobra DVD battle packs.
I thought the Pyramid of Darkness and Arise Serpentor DVD battle packs will be out in September.
Nagurimono 09-24-2008, 11:05 PM I can't find this either... and since my last post I bought a single Bludd so now all I really need from this pack is quick kick, the Mass piece & the DVD (If I remember correctly the Pyramid of Darkness Series was cool as ****).
FirstSergeantDuke 10-09-2008, 05:39 PM Quick questions on the DVDs.
Are the Pyramid of Darkness and Arise Serpentor Arise DVDs in MOVIE format like the last 2 DVD Battlepacks (Mass Device and Revenge of Cobra)???
Or are they split like 5 different shows having "To Be Continued" at the end of each episodes and opening sequence and "On the last episode of G.I.JOE" at the beginning of each episodes like the RHINO DVDs????

they are like the first dvd packs.they have a play all feature the shows all the episodes in order without interruption.I am not sure I ever saw the pyramid of darkness series when I was young I would have remembered seeing SE break dancing and wearing a dress after that I am more excited about seeing Resolute
I ordered my sets from Toyrocket on a friday and had them on monday when I got home from work I have still not seen them at any retail store
JayLeeBowen 10-09-2008, 07:34 PM I wonder if some people will try to accumulate those for use as "energon cubes"?[/QUOTE]
GREAT IDEA! Not that I do Transformers but they do look good for that idea.

TJ347 12-21-2008, 10:21 AM All I keep seeing is the Pyramid of Darkness cube, over and over. Can't remember, but isn't there supposed to be more to it than that? Already got the MASS Device set and Weather Dominator, and I'd like to get the Pyramid of Darkness, but don't want to buy it in expensive pieces. Anyone know if there's a complete set selling somewhere, or if there is a complete set to begin with?
JayLeeBowen 12-23-2008, 03:09 PM I have yet to see this package. Here in Seattle, getting around is very difficult this week. I may not be able to drive for a while. I am hoping that these will still be available after Christmas.
FirstSergeantDuke 12-25-2008, 03:45 PM Me too,
It's gut wrenching seeing dozens of Mass Device and Revenge of Cobra DVD battle packs, AND NO Pyramid or Serpentor NEW DVD PACKS!!!
WHile other states has abundant of the new DVD packs:mad:
