View Full Version : Leaving the Joe-Community for good...
The Faceless Master 08-31-2008, 10:41 PM Some of you know me, some of you don't
I have been a proud member of the YoJoe.com forums for quite some years
and have been honored to be a moderator / aka annoyance handler of the
boards as well.
Some of you may have noticed that I have not been participating in forum
discussions, nor keeping the peace within the boards, nor logging in at all
for several months now.
I have decided to leave the Joe-collecting community for good.
I have enjoyed being part of this fantastic community, and I wish you
all the best in your continual efforts to completing your own collections
and finding your elusive holy grails!!
I am selling my entire collection *link located at the bottom*
which will be updated with new items as often as possible as
I open the boxes that have been just collecting dust.
My one final request of this community is to please help me get rid
of every single one of them, thank you
Shadow_Contact 08-31-2008, 10:46 PM Well, Thats a shame seems like you were here forever. Only thing I can say is you realize joe collecting is like the hotel california dont you? You can check out anytime you like but you never leave.
Falcone 08-31-2008, 10:58 PM It's sad to see you go. Good luck with wherever life takes you next.:)
Urban Saboteur 09-01-2008, 12:02 AM No way!
This is truely a sad thing to see. I didn't think it would of been possible for you to even want to leave, I guess if your not getting the enjoyment from them or need the space/money then it's best you move on.
For the record you were always really cool with me and anyone else on the board. Good Luck to whatever you decide to do in life next. :D
Erick 09-01-2008, 12:42 AM Sad to see you go Don, and may I say thank you for everything you gave to these boards throughout the years :)
Good luck!
We'll miss you Don, good luck with everything!
Grunt 09-01-2008, 09:10 AM Hate to see you go man. I've always thought that the mods here ran things well and you were a part of that. We'll miss you.
EFIL4OEJ.I.G 09-01-2008, 12:48 PM Good luck in future plans..... always a shame when a collector hangs it up
Bigtattoo 09-01-2008, 02:48 PM Hey Don,
Sorry to hear that, you were one of the backbones on here for as long as Ive been a member.
All the best in your future pursuits.
I know what you mean, Im at the point of doing the same.
It seems wrong to just have stuff lying in boxes gathering dust....
Deadshot 09-01-2008, 03:19 PM You will be missed, good luck with everything.
TheReverend 09-01-2008, 04:24 PM Good luck buddy, you always did a good job around here as a mod from what I saw, and the few times I dealt with you it was top notch all the way.
I’m about an inch from getting totally out of it myself. I’ve cut my collection back so much over the last year / yeah and a half, I have hardly anything left. And I’m ok with that, no regrets at all. Seems like lately I’ve just had much better things to do with my time and money.
It's bound to happen to most of us sometime, I figure...
Anyway; again, good luck with all you future endeavors!
jetski333 09-01-2008, 05:25 PM Really nice guy, one of the few board members that I've met personally ...
check your pm
Mr Rage 09-01-2008, 08:39 PM Aw man. Though I think we didn't have any interaction I always respected and enjoyed your participation here at Yo Joe. One of the top notch and stand up guys here. You will be missed.
I went through the same thing though. Had a lot of stuff that was just gathering dust. Sold it all. Then came back into the fold when the 25th line debuted. Now I'm getting out of it again.
Good luck with your future endeavors.
Mr Rage

sithviper 09-03-2008, 04:11 PM It is sad to see a friend of the community and, I think, a major contributor decides it is time to hang it all up. I wish you the very best with your life. As an old friend I had used to say, “May you life be like a roll of toilet paper, long and useful.” If you ever decide you want come back we’ll leave a light on for ya. Good luck and may the force be with you. :D
We at the Sithviper compound salute you.
