Along the lines of "spot GI Joe in a movie" lists or "TV/Movies with Joe names", how about:

list any songs that make references to GI Joe. Hip hop, in particular, is rife with them.

For example, much as I hate him:

Black Rob - "Like Woah"
(the line: Play y'allself - I get the G.I. Joe)

or

Busta Rhymes "WooHah (Got you all in check)"
(the line: "Blast your --- hit you with my direct blow
Bo!! Coming through like G.I. Joe")

But my favourite all time:

Leaders of the New School, "Time Will Tell"
(the line: "Hostile, most wild, stomp - I'll rise. Timber in the land of my man Snake Eyes! Shallow as a shadow in the shade of the night!")

I got a few more, but can't recall them just now...

so she told me to come over and I took that trip
and then she pulled out my mushroom tip
and when it came out it went drip drip drip
I didnít know she had that GI Joe kung-fu grip

chorus: (repeat)
and it went uuh caress me down
uhh and thatís the loviní sound

dunt, dunt, dunt dunt...ala Sublime

The thundercats and pokemon they was break dancing
The transformers hopped in and started pop locking
With g.i. joe and johnny bravo chilling and just watching "

G.I. Joe, O.G., Desert E's, Desert fatigues
Dry weather gear for the desert breeze
140į degrees, I can barely breathe
Toast bread and fry eggs on the roof of my Jeep"

And another:

Nas: "Sly Fox"

"The eye in the sky
Number five on the dial
secret agenda frequency antenna
Doctor Mindbender -remote control

September '75 I was 47 inches high

I think the best JOE reference I have EVER heard in any kind of MEDIA was in a song called RED EYE TO MIAMI! The piece is by a real cool band called "ROPER". The song chronicles various "commando adventures" and makes references to several JOE TRADEMARKS.

Here is a link to the song on youtube..

What do you think? Pretty good right?

The group is called No Motiv and the song is Nostalgia

Yesterday I found something in my room
It was a G.I. Joe comic book that I had
And suddenly a feeling overcame my gloom
And I realized how things were back in the past
and I'll never feel the same
and I'll always feel the pain
of nostalgia

There's a refrence too G.I. Joe in the Dead Kennedys song "Rambozo The Clown" from the Bedtime for Democracy album
