"...these figures are nothing to sneer at. But feel free to sneer at me for ending a sentence with a preposiotion."

Can we also sneer at you for beginning a sentence with an article? ;)

Those are definitely Sunbow colors on WB, It's the first thing I noticed when preview images of this pack started circulating around the 'Net, but I was under the impression they were also comic colors. I don't know my comics very well; I just thought I saw a comic image of WB in the same color scheme.

I tried to find this image from the Ultimate Guide to GI Joe website (or whatever it was called), because it had seperate pages for certain characters' bios. The bio page was usually a clever mix of facts from the file cards, cartoons, and comics. Unfortunately, the site is no longer available. It's a pity, because I remember it being very exhaustive about where each character made appearances and how many lines they spoke. It would describe the difference between the comic versions, the toy versions, and the cartoon versions of the characters and vehicles. Anyone know if that site is up somewhere else?

They are definitely playing up the scar on Scrap Iron. I never even knew he, as a character, had them. I like these figures to look at, but I'll be holding out for a carded version of S-I before I buy. Until then, the Arctic version will suffice. Even though I like the Sunbow homage to WB, it doesn't warrant a 'must-buy' from me.

"You don't say much my friend, but when you do it's to the point, and I salute you for it." - John Goodman as Big Dan Teague.

EDIT: Thanks for the link! That is a cool site, but the one I was thinking of was all white, with built-in HTML table border graphics. Although it attempted to cover many aspects of GI Joe, its focus circled around the toys, and then mentioned relative cartoon episodes and/or comic issues. Here is the former link, which is now broken: http://joes.propadeutic.com/
