i recently purchased a huge lot of vehicles. after going through and putting what i could back together, i had lots of extra parts. instead of mooching off of all of the very knowledgeable guys on here, asking "what's this?", i thought i'd offer a contest to anyone interested.
there are 162 pictures of parts at this link:

all of the parts need to be identified. soem will be extremely easy, some more difficult. all of the parts should fall in the 1982-1994 range, but there may be a few later parts. there may be a couple that are not a part of the GI Joe line at all.
there will be two winners for this contest. the person who can name the most parts will get a special prize. for every part correctly identified, you will get one entry into a random drawing. all entries will be written down,. placed in a box and one winner will be randomly drawn by my not yet reading 5 year old daughter.
the rules of this contest are simple:
1. check out the pictures and identify the parts
2. all answers must be posted in this thread - private messages, emails or posts on the photobucket page will not count. that way there's no argument over who identified it first.
3. once you make a post, it cannot be edited. posts that get edited will be disqualified - again, this is to be fair to everyone.
4. contest will run until August 1st at 12:00am est or until all parts are identified whichever comes first.
5. for each answer you have, give me the picture number and them the answer. for example: #87 - 1982 MOBAT (no, this isn't a free answer)
i think that about covers the rules. i will try to update this at least once a day on here and on photobucket. i will also add a list here to let everyone know what has been identified and who identified it.
contest starts as soon as this gets posted ans runs until the end of July. i hope everyone has fun with this, and i really appreciate whatever help you guys can give me.
