Human remains were discovered in Anbar Province of Iraq last month and have been positively identified as Capt. Michael Scott Speicher, USN, missing since the first night of hostilities during Operation: Desert Storm.

It's great to see the dedication in finding his remains. He can finally come home, and rest easy.

This is a wonderful thing. Hopefully it will help the family put closure on this.

I heard about that. It's closure for the family and I am glad for that for them. Still, my thoughts and prayers go out to them.

I heard they'd changed his official status something like 18 times...

I just hope his family can get some closure after this.
