Richard Dix Jr.

Report him to the Better Business Bureau in San Antonio or the US Postal Inspectors: http://www.usps.gov/postalinspectors/fraud/MailFraudComplaint.htm

He owes me $50 from an order that he never sent in July and I unfortunately sent payment on an Estella Castillo $10 auction before any of the warnings started.

Parrot has seen the enemy! Is he a young guy or old guy? Someone said he pretends to be a young guy but sounds like 50+. I really dont see why anyone would try to rip people off. I mean, get a stinkin' job, exactly how much money can be made this way? It would take me months to a year of Ebay ripping off to make what I make in a week by working, and I dont have to keep changing my phone number, po box, or e-mail addresses. Maybe he's a crack head, who knows.

Here's a pic of him: Clever Language Filter Avoidance (http://www.mastercollector.com/neat/gijoe/irvine/richarddix.htm)

Yea, from what I've heard (I've only been involved with the rip off side) He's ok to do business with in person but avoid at all cost over the internet or through the mail.

I'm not sure which one he is. Honestly, looking at them both, I wouldn't trust either of them.

I am almost positive he is the one on the left, because I bought something from him when the Joe convention was here in KC last year. Chris

I live in San Antonio and have never heard of him or that place in the photos. I may check it out if I have the time.

It is a father and son duo. The father is into the older stuff and the son is into the newer. From what I know, the son is the only con artist. Its near impossible to get a hold of him, but I did last Saturday. He gave me a very political response to my order and me reporting him to the USPS. All he said was that he was dealing with it with them. I'll be mailing in my reponse to them at the beginning of May to let them know that he never innitiated contact and that I haven't received compensation or my order yet.

a DIFFERENT father son duo? WEIRD...

tso44.com and store are run by father and son, one does 12" the other, 3 3/4".

I have done some business with his father (rickerd Sr)and had a some great buys from him,but richerd Jr is a flak on doing business with. If you need parts, talk with Richard Sr instead of his son. smile.gif :D ;)

Well according to a search I did on ussearch.com:

RICHARD ARTHUR DIX
UNIVERSAL CITY, TX
26

His dad must be 45. Maybe mention this to his dad while you are at the convention.

Richard Dix, hmmmmmm....

Is that his real name or his porn name?

Someone needs to check this guy's identity.

Just thought a little levity might help.

My theory:

The dad knows about and sells GI Joe and has built a good selling reputation. The son is preying on his good name and knowledge to rip people off, HMMMMMM same address phone NO., name that sounds like an easy way to make some extra cash maybe somebody needs to call this NO., it just may be me I have bought off Richard Dix Sr. and I am looking at the priority box with his name on it although it is older from March of 2001 I did recieve my stuff from Richard Dix Sr.

I've talked to his mother and brother in the past, and they seem to be in denial about Rick Jr. They always say that its his deals, and they don't know enough to become involved. The best time to get ahold of Rick Jr. is Saturday afternoon. At the beginning of May, I'll be returning my letter to the U.S.P.S. letting the know that Rick Jr. didn't contact me regarding the $50 order that never showed after the 45 day waiting period. Hopefully they'll bust his a** from there. I think he first needs to return our money and then he needs us to give him a "blanket party."

I with you Flagg hunter, about the blanket party for Rick JR. He has stiff me on a night boomer jet body and other parts, but I live in CA and Tx a little far to dive in order to help with a BLANKET PARTY. smile.gif :D  tongue.gif

Flagg,

I just sent you a response, it seems he still has the same info in my yahoo address book. I bought alot from this guy but as I said before he was cool till the last trade. He told me he was getting out of the business last year. I never got my stuff till late. Best thing is to do is threaten his @$$. I bought $400 worth of stuff from him and I prolly got half of the stuff I request and another half of stuff I did not request like sealed cobra barges I did not want them and other such stuff. I think he wanted me to go away as I threatened him to report him to US Postal inspector. I am glad to get some of the stuff but I will never deal with him again.

You gotta be dilligent. When I was waiting for nine months, I called the guy every damn day. You need to apply pressure. In this case, I said if I was losing $400 worth of stuff, *I will make his life and all around him miserable so they can pressure him.* His family knew me by voice when I called everyday. That is what the advantages of having a cell phone. I called at 6-7PM every nite.

He was a good trader that went bad. His excuses was a car accident he was in. He was working late and cannot got to mail it, he has to wait till payday to pay for shipping, etc.

BTW, Flagg, is he having his gf answer the the phone? Ask for his girlfriend when you call there, too. When I was dealing with her, I laid the law down. To get him to call you, you tell him he has this so and so date to get back to me. If you do not hear from him, The US postal inspector and his local police will get all the information they need to bust him.

Could be at the time his GF was dealing with me in the end when I finally got my stuff, he was in jail already for other fraud charges? I dunno. His GF saved his osrry butt but I think I am speculating.
