Since a search turned up nada, I figured I'd find out what everyone's favourite music groups are. I'll start things off with mine. I like:

Duran Duran
Tears For Fears
Simply Red
PM Dawn
Def Leppard
Depeche Mode
Genesis
Phil Collins
Madonna
U2
Scorpions
Rihanna
Lady Gaga
Metallica
Aaliyah
Ice Cube

As you can see, I have a little bit of everything.

I like to look at Rihanna, does that count? Seriously though, here's a (long) list of my favorites (in no particular order):

Stone Temple Pilots
Guns 'n Roses
Tool
Foo Fighters
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Smashing Pumpkins
Diamond Rio
Journey
Soundgarden
Beastie Boys
The Offspring
Alice in Chains
Collective Soul

You included some individual artists so I will as well:

Phil Collins
John Denver
Merle Haggard
George Jones
Eminem
Conway Twitty
David Allan Coe
John Conlee

I don't know why my solo list is so heavily populated with classic country artists while my group list is hard rock/alternative-heavy but, oh well, that's what I like.

I'm a big U2 fan; have been since the mid 80's. The Unforgettable Fire Album got me started. I'm actually going to see them in Nashville next weedend.

I also like Coldplay and grew up with John Melloncamp, INXS, and Midnight Oil. Can't forget the late Rich Mullins too--very talented.

My Top 3

AC/DC--NOBODY rocks like the boys from Down Under...LOVE EM'...Back in Black is the greatest hard rock album ever...period!
Van Halen--the greatest guitar player of all time--Eddie Van Halen...I actually liked their songs better with Sammy, but Eddie played better riffs in the early years with Dave.
Boston--they need to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame...their first album, BOSTON, is one of best albums from top to bottom I have ever bought.

I like a little of everything, except I hate country & have minimal interest in rap, modern pop & hip-hop.

My favorites:
NIN
Depeche Mode
King Crimson
Steve Roach
Tangerine Dream
Front 242 (earlier releases)
Sepultura
Godflesh
Fear Factory
Pantera
GWAR (leter releases)
Meshuggah

And I also like a lot of the music around during the 80s (like Duran Duran), & have a pretty big collection of video game & movie soundtracks.
