I'm a bit confused! I just received from eBay what I thought to be a genuine Slaughters Marauders Sgt Slaughter. From the Archive here it says that the US version had a brown whistle, mine has a black one. I noticed the comment about the Funskool version but mine looks very much like the US one. I also noticed that in the Bellomo guide, his one also has a black whistle??? The only other difference I can see is that mine has no markings on the back of the groin, he also has no pockets on his *** cheeks! can anyone shed a light on this?? His rivets are flesh coloured

Hey, mine has a black whistle too but how does your figure compare to mine? (check sub-teams in the Figures->Action Force/GI Joe->Sgt Slaughter/Slammers Marauders)

Just remembered that Master Drow has one for sale ESTRELA - BRUTAMONTES - SARGENTO BRAÇO FORTE - BRAZIL | eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/130668545165)

Mine looks exactly the same as yours! Which also looks the same as the one in Mark Bellomos book, it's the description on the archive that doesn't match up! What do the screws and rivets look like On yours compared with any other figures?

YOJOE.COM | Sgt Smasher (India) (http://www.yojoe.com/action/int/ind-sgtsmasher.shtml)

The following entry from the above page:

The figure is made from the exact same mold of the U.S. release of Sgt Slaughter (v4) (http://www.yojoe.com/action/89/sgtslaughter4.shtml) (1989).

However, note that the whistle around his neck is colored black, while the U.S. version has a brown whistle. There is also a brown whistle variant (http://www.yojoe.com/action/int/2intimages/ind-sgtsmasher2.jpg) that looks just like the U.S. version.

is incorrect.

The US version of SM Sgt Slaughter DOES have a black whistle.

I see! I thought it odd that it's in Mark Bellomo's book quite clearly as black!

From what stkhlmDK points out, I think mine is the Estrela one, he's similar to the US one but there is no "Made in china" on the figures Butt! (But Hasbro 1986 is still on the left leg). the strange thing is there seem to be a fair few "Doing the rounds" on eBay at the moment! I don't know if this figure is financialy worth more or less, that's another question.

IIRC US version has no rear pants pockets or "made in" marking.

Excuse me for being dumb, what does IIRC mean?

it stands for If I Remeber Correctly

Addtionally all the US Slaughter Marauraders were made in Brazil.

So its probable that same figures are identical to the Brazilan market ones.
