Well, the Offical Transformers Collectors Convention is happening in Chicago July 31 and August 1. It would be mostly TF stuff, but a large amount of dealers also tend to carry G.I. Joe stuff aswell.

I picked up a AVAC there once for $6 (mint and complete).

Also a good place for looking for GI Joe comics and artwork.
