I bought the new Alpine off Ebay because he is my favorite character.

I was dissapointed.

First is his weapons... they are cool, but they don't fit in his hands, the plastic his hands are made of is too soft.

Second, is his shorts... Shorts? He looks like a civilian climber, not a military soldier. What's with the mustard colored shirt?

His waist is smaller than a woman's!

Then last is his head sculpt, he looks like a tired old man. Not like the picture on his file card.

All in all I was not impressed. Maybe the new Alpine isn't the best example of the new figures or maybe I'm just an old school 80's figure lover.

I agree. I always loved Alpine as a kid. But I passed on buying him at the store.

Um, yeah, even the die-hard VvV fans are saying that that Alpine sucks. Check out the wave 8/VvV wave 1 Cobra Commander. Best from the new line (one of the best figures period)

Alpine looks like a lame Corps! figure

I told Joe heads here that he looked like an old man. That figure is one of the worst so far from the VvV line. And those aren't shorts....they're skorts (women pants)!! :eek:

yea the new alpine looks like a civilian moutain climber not millitry but he is why I got all the wave 2 figs I saw all the pics got impatient then became disapoited in kamaku and alpine.

I'd paint his clothes desert camo. That outta make him alittle better.
